Prairie Lamb Kabob is pretty much a 1-person operation that you’re probably familiar if you have been around the Spadina & Dundas area. A tiny Yakitori-style corner at the very back hidden Heritage Town in 2nd level Pacific Mall… Near the washrooms and Terra Cotta Warriors. Kabob choices were Beef, Chicken and Lamb(3/$ 5.00&7/$ 10.00), also have Lamb Ribs and Lamb Meatballs which might seem out of place to consume in this setting where you want the Skewer Kabobs so you can eat while browsing the Mall as the usual custom in China. 2.5 *Star* The SECRET here is when your friends turn their backs, quietly tell the lady to put less Spice(Chili/Cumin Powder) on the Lamb Skewer so you don’t choke from the heat if you can’t take the Spice. :p Overall, it’s an average snacking option in the right environment and there are seating Food Court nearby for seating or folding chairs that face the Throne and large screen TV. The Beef was a bit chewy if there’s anything I should comment here. It’s not a Charcoal grill if you were wondering, it’s an Electric Grill Burner. I imagine Charcoal/Bincho in this open space Mall would be a no-no.

Prairie Lamb Kabob is newly opened(I could not find it in the mall directory online) tucked in the corner of the food court of Heritage Town in Pacific Mall. I am not really a lamb eater but lucky Prairie Lamb Kabob does serves beef and chicken kabob. and they do have lamb ribs, lamb balls(not what you think, they are deep fried lamb meat balls) and lamb kidneys. The Kabobs are going for 3/$ 5 or 7/$ 10. Since it is freshly bbq and made to order, you can watch the lady cook the meat right in front of you in the electric grill. And you can request to have them prepare spicy or non spicy or in my case extra spicy. The kabobs are in fact pretty small… I can probably eat 7 by myself if it is really tasty. Cumin powder is used as the main spice to season the meat. I personally like the chicken the best, the beef is a little dry and the lamb is quite fatty but the spicy does cover the lamby taste quite well. 2.5 stars Not something I will have cravings to eat all the time, but once in awhile sharing it with friends will be fun!
