Old lady is not welcoming at all, and is in fact downright rude.
We got sandwiches, they were mediocre, but very, very dry. Only mayo nothing else. Didn’t really give us many options and almost forced us to get a different type of sandwich than we wanted.
Made an error at the till, did not know how to use her card machine, and was giving us attitude. I don’t like frequenting places that pretend like they are doing me a favour by allowing me to give them money.
This place is a really bad version of Delizie (on Dewdney Trunk).
I’d consider going back and giving the place another chance if the old lady wasn’t there.

I went there with my husband a daughter a few weeks ago and was so thrilled to find a place that makes true Italian sandwiches (meat, bread, no fuss — this from an Italian girl). It was huge (we should have shared one), but excellent. And all the homemade cookies and desserts were amazing. I’m definitely going back for when I have a party, and also to try the homemade gnocchi which I was told Nonna makes at home!
