The Mariner King Inn and Hotel

What a great place to stay and brunch!
It is a lovely old house on the main street of Lunenburg. It has a fantastic balance of old and new:
— lovely antique furniture, floor coverings, exquisite old light fixtures, etc.
— exercise room, high speed internet, business centre, flat screen TV + DVD player in the room.
We were blown away by the small touches as the modern stemware in the rooms, updated bathrooms and complementary chocolates on the bed.
The bed was a dream to sleep on, once the pillows were cleared and stacked in the corner:-) Nice light cozy comforter on the bed.
Now for breakfast — simply fantastic! Cold buffet with solomon gundy, smoked salmon, cheeses, etc. A bread stack that included fresh from the oven croissants. We went with the a la carte eggs benedict — and don’t let them give you the back bacon — go for the smoked salmon option — yummmmmm!!!
We will definitely be going back. The question is only whether it will be another mid-​winter, off season fantastically priced get-​away or a full priced mid-​summer Lunenburg folk festival week?
