I can’t say enough great things about this salon. I went in with long dark hair and came out a vibrant red without bleaching! (Which is hard to get right) The staff is super nice and the stylists are very knowledgeable and talented. My hair feels silky soft and smells amazing even after colouring. The real kicker is the price point. I came out with a beautiful colour, cut, and style for under $ 120! Finally a salon I will be returning to, thanks Scissorhands!

I usually don’t change my hairstyle and definitely don’t go for a different stylist. I got my haircut done by Sam. I told her how I usually kept my hair and what I wanted. She took 20 mins and cut my hair exactly how I wanted. She gave some tips for maintenance too. Good service. Would definitely recommend for men’s haircut.

Decided that I wanted a MAJOR change to my hair after having the same look for years (long and straight). I was nervous as I haven’t had great luck with stylists, but a friend recommended Scizzorhands so I thought I’d give them a try. I got a cut and colour with Bethany and it turned out awesome! She checked with me at every step to make sure she was doing what I was looking for, although most of the time I told her to use her professional judgement since I am inept when it comes to my hair. :) The owner Glynnis was also very friendly and helpful when it came to picking out the best colour shade for me. I will definitely come back here in the future.

I recently got my hair cut here after looking for a new place to get my hair cut and I must say it was money well spent. For guys, haircuts are only $ 19 and up although for ladies the prices are higher. Yes, you can find cheaper prices elsewhere but I often find that some of these places are often careless and will do a real hack-​job. This place was small but tasteful and seemed very clean to me. And the lady who cut my hair did a very careful job of everything. I can see myself coming back for sure.

If you have definite ideas about how you want your hair to look, it’s can be hard to find a place to get your hair cut. And not something you want to do by trial and error. The other reviews of Scizzorhands seemed positive and I got my hair cut there. I was impressed. They listened carefully to what I wanted, and did just what I wanted. My cut was only $ 20, but the stylist carefully worked on my hair for an hour to get it just right. She did an excellent job and I’ll be a repeat customer. The place is visually pleasing, clean, has onsite parking and the music is not so loud you can’t talk to the stylist. Highly recommended for all and Western students you can’t beat this place for price and location.

I had my hair done there for my bestfriends wedding. My hair dresser was amazing and I am not the best client at times with my hair since I never let anyone touch it. She was so understanding with me. I recomend going and looking into the other services they offer :)

I am living in London for school and I really needed my hair done, so I decided to try this place since it’s just down the street from where I live. The price list was reasonable, although slightly more than what I am used to paying for hair services. Jodi was the stylist who did my hair. I asked for a cut and colour. I went from bleach blonde hair to a violet-​black base and purple highlights. The colour came out beautiful– it looked even better when it faded because the filler which gave it the black colour faded to the reddish base. However, they charged me more than what they stated initially. I have medium length hair but they charged me twice for the dye and highlights. I paid around $ 180, which is really steep especially since I am a student. The service was great, the stylist was friendly, and the hair came out nice, but I wouldn’t go back again due to the price. I know a girl who used to work there who now does hair in her home and she charges me half of what I paid at Scizzorhands.

When I was living in London, I went here for my haircuts exclusively (after getting ineptly shorn at one or two other places). It helped that I lived in walking distance of Scizzorhands, of course, but even if the trip were a little longer, I’d still recommend them.
You get a hair salon cut at barbershop prices (i.e., under twenty bucks), which includes shampoo and style. They do walk-​ins, but it’s probably best to book ahead. Since I wasn’t picky about who cut my hair, I’d book an appointment with whoever was available on the day and time that was convenient for me, and I have to say that I got a good, pro cut no matter which girl did it.
