Korean comfort food. Personable staff(the owner once gave my boyfriend free soup when he was sick because she said she wanted him to get better, so sweet). One of my favourite spots as a student for an affordable meal.

Service is disgustingly slow. People who showed up after us got their food before us, and it took them 45 minutes to realize they ran out of my order. I had to order again and wait even longer for my food.

Good restaurant. Be careful what you order, the Bul-go-ghi and Tempura u-dong are best. Often change in ownership.

Came here craving some Korean food. The design of the place looks like a fast food place with picnic tables. I ordered the pork bone soup, which is a Korean food specialty and oftens shows how good the Korean restaurant is. It came with 3 side dishes which tasted alright but not great. The soup was up to standard and the meat portion was decent, but there weren’t any potatoes in mine. There was only 1 server at that time and it took forever to order. He was also not very attentive, even though it wasn’t that busy at the time. We had to ask for tea, when they usually bring it before your food arrives. Overall, food wasn’t bad but service was poor. Price is typical for London but there are probably better Korean restaurants.

It was my first time to this place. My friend recommended this place and said the food is good here. The food is not bad and this place is close to uwo campus. I tried lots of Korean food in London and Toronto. I found that this place is overpriced and the service is extremely slow. These are okay because I’m not in rush and if the food is good, I don’t mind they overpricing it. However, after I paid and left, I found that they added a mandatory 15% tip on my bill and they didn’t tell me. So I gave them another 15% tip because I didn’t even realize I already did. The bill is confusing because it’s hand written and they don’t separate the original price, «HST» and 15% tip they charge. I asked my friend and she hasn’t realized that either, which means she kept double tipping them for a long time! I definitely won’t go to this place again. ADVICE to the customers who come to this place, double check your bill and make sure you don’t double tip them.

I used to visited this place often b/c it was close to uwo campus. I realize that it was overpriced and the service was slow. Okay I can deal with that! Then they stopped giving refills to their side dishes, saying they have no more. However, when new customers walked in, they would magically be restocked!(No communication problems here since one of my friend is Korean). Fine, I can understand you need to save a little and returning customers don’t mean much. Finally, I completely stopped going when i realize they add a mandatory 15% tip on my bill. 1st, they don’t even tell you they have added this amount 2nd, their bills are handwritten and often in Korean so there would be confusion in what you are paying for(ie less apparant of the forced tip) 3rd, tips are voluntary, I would tip for good service, but it is totally unethical for a restuarant to force a tip on its customers. My tip to anyone eating here, make sure you double check your bill amount or you may end up double tipping like me.

Quite good for Korean food. And definitely authentic as it is operated by a Korean family. I see quite a lot of Korean people who come here for food, sometimes older Korean adults, which is always a good sign. For lunch, I recommend their ramen. I have heard good things about their gamjatang(pork bone soup) and it seems popular with the regulars. I personally prefer japchae(glass noodles), mandoo(dumplings), and their jajangmyun(black bean noodles). I have not tried their Japanese menu items, and was not a big fan of their beef soon tofu(beef in spicy stew). I have heard good things about their kalbi and grilled pork, but because it is rather expensive, I have yet to try it.

YuM! Love this spot, one of the best places that really got me thru my time at UWO. Get the Mandu and Beef Bulgolgi

I’ve only been here once but I received a favourable impression. I didn’t eat anything off of their Japanese menu so I can’t comment on their Japanese food. But their Korean food was very good. For my app, I had the mandu which are Korean dumplings(somewhat similar to the Mongolian buuz or the Central Asian manti) except these were deep fried rather than boiled(I guess to make them more appealing to customers). And they were nicely crisp on the outside without being too oily. For my main, I had the kalgi(or galbi) which is marinated beef short ribs that have been grilled. The beef was succulent and moist and the spicy side dishes like kimchi, etc were nice additions. The prices are a touch high but I still had a nice experience overall.
