My first visit. Walked in. Busy. Had to wait, but only five minutes. They had us seated much faster than I expected. Fast service. Large portions. Reasonable prices. Two adults and a eight year old came to under $ 30 for breakfast. And I was stuffed when I left. I will return.

Just ate at Johnny’s. I ordered a Monte Cristo with a poutine side. The They wanted $ 7 something for the Monte, and $ 6.75 for the poutine. What a complete waste of my hard earned valuable money! The Monte Cristo was soggy, basically uneatable. Worst I have ever seen. If you do NOT deep fry your Monte Cristo then do NOT even put it on your menu you lazy idiots! The poutine was cold, the gravy did have some flavor but by the time I had a couple bites it was stone cold. The fries we’re crispy yet cold, so they we’re probably sitting in the back waiting for someone to order some fries. The shredded cheese they used on my poutine didn’t even melt because it was so cold. And they charge $ 6.75 for this… My wife ordered a Fettuccine Alfredo. It came in a large portion but pretty much lacked any flavor. The mushrooms had an off taste. I do NOT recommend going here if you value your money! For about $ 30 I left there hungry and regretful.

I heard about johnnys and wanted to try it for a while. We ordered breakfast for pickup, it was ready with in 10 mins. The service was great and very welcoming atmosphere. Definitely going back and the home fries are tasty!

It’s an average diner. We arrived just after on a Sunday in February, and got a table right away. It took a longer than usual time for us to get our orders in, but once they were in, the food was quick. The meal itself wasn’t anything too special. The bacon looked and felt like paper. The prices also weren’t anything special.

Johnny’s is a great place for diner style food, especially breakfast. The weekends(especially) Sunday’s are busy and there is usually a wait. fear not, staff work hard to have your food out quickly so I haven’t waited longer than 15 minutes. If there is a line make sure you talk to the hostess to get your name on the list. The food is delicious. My boyfriend and I always get the Pancake Feast and always leave full. The portions are large, the eggs are real(not that gross powdered stuff) and the pancakes are fluffy and absolutely perfect.

So here is the question. Does really low prices justify poor food? I’d have to say no. My wife and I had the classic breakfast special consisting of two eggs, ham(or sausage, bacon) toast, hash browns and coffee — for $ 5. Hash browns were big chunks of potato, over cooked to the point where you could break windows with them. Ham was slimy. Toast made from the cheapest bread at the store. Ali in all — barely edible. Will not go back.

Massive portions. Good place if you are hungry and do not want to spend a lot. Burgers, wraps etc. include both fries and salad. Always packed for weekend brunch.

My friends and family all love Johnnys! Ive been there about 6 times now and have never been disappointed. They have the best breakfasts for great prices, eggs Benedict being my favorite. The service is also always friendly, and I never remember waiting for a long time. I’ve always had a great experience at this restaurant.

Johnny’s is a recently opened diner in a more recently developed part of town, there’s not too much around yet but that doesn’t stop it from being busy at almost all times of the day. I’ve only been in twice so far, once for breakfast and once for dinner and both times it was so busy that there was a line-up at the door, but both times moved very fast and effectively having us seated in about 5 – 10 mins tops. The décor is nice and new but nothing over the top, service both times I came was very prompt but they could have been a little more attentive at times, but explainable for how busy they were, but other than that no complaints and very friendly as well. The menu doesn’t have anything too crazy and there’s not a million choices but everything sounds and looks so good I just want to try it all! And the prices are very reasonable as well, most meals are well under $ 10 and the portions are massive! I ordered the panzerotti for dinner which was really good and is definatly competition to other panzerotti’s around, just the right size and lots of toppings, oh and fresh bolognese sause for dipping which was definatly a highlight. I’ve also tried breakfast which I thought was amazingly good as well, good crispy bacon, fluffy pancakes, great homefries, and always fresh coffee, just all around great food, big portions and at great prices! The better half seems to love their wraps and gets them all the time she is in there for lunch/dinner, looked good and the fries were amazing! Soo crispy and big and mmm! lol with some of their gravy it’s almost heavenly. All the food is so fresh and tasty, you can tell when something is made fresh and to order like johnny’s. Definatly check out johnny’s for breakfast lunch and dinner! Great food, great prices, great people! You definatly won’t leave hungry that’s for sure! With lots of Greek and Italian specials, and great diner specials, burgers, fish, etc etc there’s always something for everyone! I’m definatly coming back, a new johnny’s regular lol :)
