Milkshakes were proper. Love the old school feeling of my dining experience. Menu was as expected and decent prices. Had the fully loaded perogies with fries and left quite satisfied. Food was nothing special but done well.

We’ve been going here so long that one year I bought a painting of the diner as a Christmas present for a family member. The menu doesn’t change all that much, the quality is consistent, some of the staff have been there forever and the décor is classic diner. Every decade or so they rotate the film posters around the resto. Seating options are diner stools(of course), tables and booths. The whole place is naugahyde and nostalgia. Not just an open kitchen — more like the kitchen is in and of the resto. I don’t think that we’ve ever spent more than $ 40 here at one time, and that includes a beer or two. The milkshakes are a local fave. Very good burgers, pierogi and souvlaki. They’ve never gotten my special order wrong. Not once. One of those rare places that you don’t *want* to improve. You want it the way you remember it because newer isn’t always better.

True diner style! The food is quick and tasty. Nothing fancy, but a great little spot to stop in. Always had friendly service. It’s a MUST try.

Yep, after so long of cash only there is Interac on site. Nice. Prince Al’s is like an old friend. You may not have seen him in a while, but when you do it’s like time stood still. You catch up, have a few laughs, a burger and shake and off you go. My Bonanza burger had a good patty but the bun was weird. Like barely toasted then sat out to dry out weird. Pretty sure the cook places them on the flat top, so maybe a bit of butter would perk it up. The fries were top notch, though. And my strawberry milkshake hit the spot.

Late night diner that seems to be always busy… nice place to stop in for a milkshake or a float. Feeling snack-y? Try their poutine or wraps! If you have lived in London, you have fond memories of the Prince A!

This diner on Richmond Row is a mainstay. The décor compliments the food. They have an amazing chipotle burrito. But if you get the chance, try the Wally Burger. Its diner classic.

I thoroughly enjoyed their vintage atmosphere due to their decorations and the photos on the wall. I’ve always loved old-fashioned diners and this place is perfect! The prices are reasonable, the customer service is excellent, and the food is fantastic!(I particularly enjoyed their butterscotch milkshakes and veggie burger.) Keep up the good work!

Not impressed. I was getting my hair done at Entrenous and my hair stylist and I ordered lunch to go. The original order asked for extra hot sauce. Whoever prepared the burrito put the extra hot sauce inside the burrito. When my hair stylists assistant went back to ask for more hot sauce on the side they flat out refused to give it to her. Why would you refuse to give a paying customer what they asked for? This is the second time this has happened and I’m disgusted. The last time she ordered something and was unhappy with it, she was told«it was their policy not to care». I think your policy should be to care. We are both downtown residents and eat there quite frequently. Not cool Prince Als, not cool at all.

A downtown staple, every person I spoke to only had high praised for this place. My husband and I finally made out way over here and Ordered the gyros and milkshakes. At first bite, I was perplexed. Sammys is like two blocks away and people come here to eat this? You can certainly tell this was not their specialty. Their fries were also worse than sammys so I washed it down with my strawberry milkshake, which was also not that great. You know the real kicker? This place is CASHONLY. There isn’t a sign or anything at the door so my husband had to go to an atm machine to pay for our meal. What kind of garbage is that? What sort of place is a cash only business and doesn’t have notice of it right at the front? This was a few months ago and I am certainly hoping that they have signage but seriously, not worth the money

I’ve dined here for breakfast lunch and dinner. It has a very cozy diner atmosphere. I love that it’s small enough that you can get to know the friendly staff very well yet large enough to make it a got to place for a meal with close friends. The food is amazing and definitely worth more than the affordable prices offered. It’s kid friendly and great for families as well. It’s a very wholesome place to be for good food and company. The only gripe I have with this place is that it’s not accessible to all.

Went with some of the fam and ordered the Wally burger. I found the amount of Kraft smooth pb was a little much. I would have been happy with a bit less spread on the bun. The rest of the burger was ok. The BLT and poutine were just fine. I think the best thing about this place is the value. Things aren’t perfect but they still set prices at levels that existed before most restaurants in town hopped on the double digit dollar bandwagon for burgers and half-ass poutines.

Wasn’t bad but wasn’t the best. My cheese burger was ok and my poutine was pretty good. I also had a chocolate banana milkshake that was amazing and one milkshake filled two and abit. So over all it was good. Just not the best.

One of my favourite places to eat in London. The food is excellent, the service is fantastic and the price is budget friendly. I usually get the bbq burrito and have never been disappointed. The Wally burger is another of my favourites — don’t let the pb and bacon fool you, it’s delicious. The cherry coke actually has a cherry in it and the milkshakes are so big that they bring you the container it was mixed in. Highly recommended, although it does get packed sometimes.

A definite must visit for anyone from London. Greasy diner food so don’t expect to pick a low cal option here. My personal favourite is the loaded perogies(bacon, cheese and onions) which are deep fried! The burgers are great, homemade and definitely not frozen from a box. The toppings are fresh and the burgers are a great size. The milkshakes are phenomenal and the best in the city. They do not take any cards, but there is an ATM on site.

This place is tasty! They have tasty hamburgers and milkshakes. It’s pretty much full of your typical diner food! With that said they have lots of options to satisfy everyone’s taste.

This place is pretty much a dump. The bathroom is horrible. The food was mediocre but what really burns me is that there is no debit. They have a bank machine which the owner owns. It say it right on the machine and they charge you a $ 1.50 to use it. This place will nickel and dime you. Do not eat here.

Finally got to eat at this London fave. Service was fast and friendly — our food came out all at the same time. My family and I sampled a bunch of different menu items including two different sandwiches — one of them was a triple slice(of bread) sandwich with peameal bacon, chicken, lettuce and tomatoes, two different burgers — hamburger and swiss mushroom burger, and the loaded perogies. Some were ordered with a side of fries, the others were ordered with a side of salad(add $ 2.50 extra for salad as a side). I also ordered a strawberry and cappuccino milkshake(these come in a variety of flavours and you can mix them — flavours include: butterscotch, vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, banana, peanut butter & cappuccino). The shake was really good — thick, creamy and sweet — people with a sweet tooth would love it! The amount of milkshake they give you in the metal tumbler is enough to fill 3 milkshake glasses so the price is definitely worth it. The burger patties are delicious — you can tell that they’re made fresh. Whatever they put in them is amazing — the texture and flavours go so well together. The sandwich I had(with the peameal bacon and chicken) was really tasty and filling and I had it with a side of garden salad and olive & vinegar. The fries are cooked well and are crispy — great for dipping in ketchup or the sour cream that comes on the side with the perogies order. The perogies themselves are another foodgasm experience — crispy, cheesy, potatoe-y, with bacon! To top it all off, the cozy environment pays good attention to classic diner style with comfy booths, ‘50s posters and décor and, of course, checkered black & white tile.

love the greek fries and YOUNEEDTOTRYTHEIRMILKSHAKES. you can even create your own flavors. I really am not sure how they can make such a delicious milk shake with buckets of Champman’s ice cream. Do not try the rice though its gross. Service is fair, CASHONLY which can be a suckie suckie situation consider everyone uses cards now.
