East sides is an easy go to for a cheap dinner, with friendly service. Their $ 15 pastas with unlimited bread and soup or salad is a real steal, especially for a filling student meal. I always sit in the bar and all the staff are friendly and efficient. Tap selection is basic, and though I’ve never tried any, their cocktails look quite good. Oh, they also serve a mean Bloody Caesar.

Great Food! Great Environment and they always seem to have great promotions. One of the better Italian-ish food chains we have here in the great North serving deliciousness from Pasta to Pizza. Check it out!

Blah, there is a reason why we haven’t been here in a few years. This is the Canadian version of Olive Garden expects its more of a «Pub» style and it’s not as busy. The bread is OK nothing special, the salad is bland as well(Olive Garden Wins for both) My Spaghetti and Meatballs were on the«Famous Dish Menu» and both were below average($ 16.99). My wife got some sort of naked cheese pasta, she is not usually picky but mentioned it wasn’t cooked and tasted like a microwave dinner. The peanut butter dessert was decent, nothing really to drive us back. The staff seemed trained well and friendly, and the décor is creative but the substance of the food for the price is not worth it.

Salty, extremely salty, poorly prepared. Quality of food is very unstable. Service is good but the food is just plain salty and terrible.

I am still in love with Easte Side Marios, but at this location last night the service was great and the food was wonderful. I didnt like being ingnored for 15mins at the bar to get a drink while my date and I waited for a table. I also didnt like hearing from the wait staff that the new owner is trying to save a few bucks by not allowing people to share their«all you can eat free bread and salad» anymore. Only some dishes come with the all you can eat bread and salad. I had to pay extra for the all you can eat bread and salad, in order for us to eat together 1 bowl of salad and split 2 loafs of their bread. I miss how it used to be :(forshame new owner forshame

East Side Mario’s is a good local chain restaurant, this one being located in the Masonville area of the city. Specializing in Italian cuisine, their menu offers almost everything from pizza’s to pasta’s. Although they aren’t usually to busy during the week, weekends and special events(i.e Valentine’s Day, Mother Day, etc.) tend to be pretty busy so you might want to call ahead or book a reservation. I have eaten here many times over the past couple years and the food and service has always been very consistent. If they’re not booked up you are usually seated almost right as you walk in the door, the wait staff are very friendly and fast, although there has been times I wanted more bread or salad and they were no where to be seen. I usually just stick to «my usual» the sausage & pepper penne which I personally really like, and not to mention the all you can eat caesar salad and bread which I am usually 2⁄3 full on by the time my meal arrives anyways. I have tried other things though like the veal parmigiana, and the seafood linguini which both are also really good! All in all it’s a great place for family and friends Whether your in the mood for pasta, pizza, or any other italian specialty, East Side Mario’s is the inexpensive place to go with fast and friendly service, oh and the food is good too!

Give me cheese capelleti or give me death. I am a lover of East Side’s and this location hasn’t disappointed me. I remember going once with a friend and if anything it seemed like our service was too fast. I think that’s the only time I’ve ever thought that in my entire dining out ‘career’. I’m not complaining necessarily, but there are times when you want to savor the company, conversation and food. They has us in and out so quickly that it definitely made those three things more challenging.
