History

Established in 2007.

Menchie’s opened its first store in Valley Village, a suburban community of Los Angeles, California, on May 15, 2007, by husband & wife team Danna & Adam Caldwell. The Menchie’s concept emerged from a story of two lovebirds and their common love of frozen yogurt, when Adam took Danna to a frozen yogurt store on their first date; that was when Danna’s sweet tooth took over, and the world of frozen yogurt was never the same again!

Self serve frozen yogurt? What a FANTASTIC IDEA!
Want a treat and want do it completely by yourself? This is the place to go. You can choose your flavor of yogurt (or choose several of them if you want), take the amount you want (you pay by weight — not selection) then proceed to choose the toppings you wish to garnish it with (there were about 70 – 80 of them), pay for it then ravage that delicious treat!
Be careful though, it can get a little EXPENSIVE but what an innovative fun way to making your frozen yogurt treat the way YOU WANT IT.
I went with half chocolate /​half cappuccino yogurt with cheesecake bits. The chocolate side was amazing, the cappuccino side was good too.
All in all very good. Will try again.

Love this place and I go at least once a week.
It is fresh and they have lots of flavor to choose from. They change them often so its great you never have time to get bored. They also have lactose free sorbet so if your like me and you are lactose intolerant so your good.
If your going there for the first time and you’re sure about the flavors don’t worry because you can taste them before. Once you pick just put the amount you want in your bowl because it is self served. You can also add a waffle bowl if you want. Once done you can add fruit or sweet treats like chocolate chips or kiwi even lots of different boba… but remember you pay by the weight of your bowl.
They also have a reward point card so if you go often you can collect points for rebates later on

Bön choix de yogourt glacé. En plus, Menchie’s nous permet de goûter les différents choix avant de prendre un décision finale. Les choix de garnitures sont tout aussi variés. Attention de pas trop vous emballez, vous risquez de finir avec un bol à 12 $ que vous né pourrez pas terminer. Garniture favorite: cookie dough bits, yuuuuum. Bien hâte à cet été. Très bien situé dans le Centropolis de Laval. Love it!
