La Place Publique

New weekend breakfast favourite! We were not expecting a breakfast place when we walked in. But the weekend breakfast menu is fantastic and until 3pm. The options are well varied and reasonably priced. There are wide selections at $ 5, $ 10, $ 15, $ 20 a plate. The kids had a bacon grilled cheese, and banana chocolate crêpe from the $ 5 menu. I had an astounding french toast with grand marnier flambé strawberrys. The place was a treat. Will definitely be back for breakfast and to try the weekday lunch menu. The service was quick, the ambiance comfortably eclectic.

Wow wow wow!!! I can’t believe this place has bad reviews… It was just pure heaven as I walked into the resto. They had humour night and It was a packed audience. It was really cool to see people having a fun enjoyable time. As I waited for my meal to be prepared, I joined the crowed by engaging my ears into the humorist telling his jokes. It was a french guy and was funny!
The resto is very fancy and has a fine modern ambiance! It’s a very attractive & elegant place.
The service I received was perfect! The handsome waiter was very professional. He took my order down quickly and I had received my food within 10minutes.
I had the spicy salmon tartar for starters & the linguini con pollo as my main course! Mmmmm deee-​licious! The chickem in my linguini was so tender & juicy! The linguini cooked perfectly. The sauce was awesome. The tartar was so good! Melted in my mouth!!! & the most incredible part is that it was all under 25 $. They got decent prices! I am so coming here AGAIN!!! Mmmmm yummmyyyy

Great place for big group events. They have private rooms that can fit 50 – 60 people.
I would have given this place another star if the service didn’t take 2 hours to serve simple dishes such as poutines and burgers… Maybe they were understaffed or there was other reasons that could have explained such long wait. I had high expectations and was a bit disappointed.
