Jalapeño’s

Horrible food and horrible service. Also spider infested. Counted at least 10 spiders inside including the one that came down from the ceiling into my friends hair. Stay away! I wish I read reviews on Unilocal before I came in!
Server disappeared and left us waiting for our food for 45minutes. Until another waitress came out to check on us. I had the Mexican poutine which was just fries gravy cheese and a TON of seasoning salt that left me gagging.

I wish that I had read others reviews before picking this restaurant! Food was terrible. As others have said rice was flavorless, completely unseasoned and tasteless as were the other food items we ordered.
I ordered the shrimp Tacos which ended up being the best selection as the kids wouldn’t even eat theirs.
patio was nice and server friendly and service speedy.

I saw the reviews but was so hungry for Mexican food — this place is TERRIBLE! Taco Bell is gourmet in comparison! The place is understaffed but luckily we got there just before the dinner rush. Our party ordered two different burritos and they were full of flavorless rice and very little meat or veggies — there was absolutely no flavor. One person got the recommended pad Thai… it was marinara sauce with overcooked veggies, chicken and noodles — gross! The other person got the shrimp tacos — they were okay with the addition of salsa but the dinner portion was two tiny tacos with a side of the same flavorless rice that filled the burritos. It is too bad because out server was so friendly and the space is nicely decorated.

Best Mexican food in the area. Great use of fresh seasonings. You can ask for Sunset House menu too which is great tasting, unique food, almost upscale but modern.
Btw, salsa is amazing and easy to fill up on. I think it’s all made in house.

I had a late night craving for a burrito so I decided to stop in at jalapeño’s to satisfy those needs, lol. I just ordered a basic burrito although it came up to almost $ 6, I could have bought my own taco kit and some ground beef for almost that price and could have made it myself just as good if not better. The ground beef was pretty underseasoned, and the lettuce was not the best, the salsa on it was alright but nothing special, probably should have ordered that afterburner. Oh well might come try something else but with so many other places to choose from and my burrito being such a dissapointment, I dunno if I’ll come back anytime soon.
