Chiming in to say that Bean’s Bistro is great! Their mochas are especially good — they’re neither bitter nor tasteless, although I’m especially picky about my mochas. Friendly service, really clean and modern interior, organic and fair trade.

BEAN’S BISTRO(formerly named Books & Beans) Great coffee! Located in Downtown Kincardine, Bean’s Bistro is a unique and quaint coffee café serving up breakfast, lunch, fresh baked goods, and a good variety of hot & cold coffee, espresso, and tea beverages, as well as hot chocolate, smoothies, milkshakes, and Stewart’s sodas. The fresh roasted coffee, espresso, and teas are organic and fair trade. The place is unique with the layout is a bit crammed with hardwood floors. The order counter is in the front area, plus comfortable chairs and table seating in back of the café(nice view of Lake Huron). There are also framed pictures & classic signs on the walls, used books & records for sale, and an old piano. After having a disappointing cup of very weak coffee at a local diner, I trekked into Downtown Kincardine in search of better coffee to start my day. I spotted two coffeehouses just yards from each other(a national chain and an independent coffee place). I decided to try the local flavour and stepped into Bean’s Bistro. I ordered a large cup of Dark Roast Coffee for the road. The coffee was strong just the way I enjoy it and had a solid good robust flavour, which is what I definitely needed to stay alert for my long road trip to Michigan. I would definitely stop back in here again on my next trip through the region for a full breakfast with a great cup of coffee. FREEWIFIACCESS
