Good foods and good service. It’s a good Japanese restaurant to go. I may come back

Ordered green tea and Tonkatsu Ramen. The green tea was VERY nice, rich in flavour and pipping hot !! Menu is divided into three sections of Ramen — soy, vegetable and miso. After I ordered I heard people talking about spice level — shoot cause mine now won’t be spicy — well that’s ok, gives my an opportunity to really taste the broth. They had no black garlic(what a shame). But the Ramen arrived and the homemade noodles were very nice and in my Ramen Bowl was a beautiful piece of cooked pork and two pieces of seaweed and a little bit of spinach there was nothing else nothing. I was used to an egg included so I didn’t realize when I ordered that you had to order everything else that you wanted in your Ramen. No big deal it was still a very very good broth and the pork was cooked beautifully and the soup was amazing I really enjoyed it ! Small place, seats about 18 people, top 10 music plays and on top of that people talking, laughing, the kitchen noise of plates/bowls and the ding of the cash register; the place is not quite.

My husband has been raving about this place for so long so when we decided to attend his office Christmas party and drive up to Kamloops, we made sure was part of our agenda. The place can accomodate about 25 people max. It opens at 11.45 am. Very odd opening time I know. We were there by 11.30 am and there were at least 7 people waiting outside. They probably also thought that opening is 11.30LOL As soon as it opens we were greeted by a very friendly staff and seated us by the bar. The menu is not overwhelming. The ramen is divided into 3 types, a) soy sauce b) miso c) sea salt. My eyes wondered at the description for each type. I chose miso as it says creamy pork broth. How can you go wrong with creamy? Right? I chose the Tonkatsu(hmmm pork) in Miso and upon recommendation from my husband asked for a spicy ball as add-on. Spicy ball is a type of spicy paste that is scooped out like a ball and placed on top of your ramen. Now the moment of truth. I mixed the spicy ball with miso broth to create this so creamy soup base. First sip of the broth takes you to miso ramen heaven. It was delicious! First bite of the thinly sliced pork and it was soft and tasty. The ramen noodle was cooked to perfection, al dente, just the way I like it! If you happen to be in the area this is a must place to try. If you love ramen like I do then I highly recommend this place.

Best ramen! I have yet to find any other that compares. I love the cold ramen salad.

Had bbq miso. I need to up my chopstick game but they gave me a spoon for full embarrassment. Was still so tasty I’d gladly drop noodles into my bowl all over again.

First time coming here in the Kamloops area and was scoping out the area and stumbled on this place. Was in the plaza pretty early in the morning and so just happened they were just opening up for the day. I was the first one to go in before the lunch rush. I had ordered the Tonkatsu Ramen with extra noodles. For a small city like Kamloops, this ramen place is very good for the area. The soup base was very flavorful, the noodles had good texture and was chewy and not too soggy. The pork wasn’t bad either despite I was hoping to get larger slices but the overall meal was delicious. I highly recommend to get extra noodles which only costs $ 1. I know that whenever you eat ramen there is always leftover soup base so it’s best to try to finish it up. Just wished they had more selection on the don bowls since they only have one and everything else is ramen. But definitely comes back and try other ramen bowls.

Tiger Ramen is always consistent with their portion sizes and yummy-ness. This is a Kamloops gem. Do not miss it if you’re driving through or want something warm and comforting. I come here at least once a month.

Really good ramen soup. Was looking for a good place to have some noodles for lunch. The gyozas to start off with were also delicious. I would definitely come back here again.

All staff are super friendly, food is delicious, and fairly priced. Small menu but it’s all tasty so who cares? They even provide kleenex! Not sure if cheap napkins or for runny noses due to spicy food… either way thumbs up! Get the spicy veggie ramen!

In town for the night… super excited to have found this place. It was busy… and service was quick and very friendly. I was disappointed to find, they only had spicy ramen vegetarian style… but were accommodating making my dish spicy. Broth great flavour, noodles need some work. Ill be back!

Wow! I can’t believe I waited so long to try out Tiger Ramen! I’d eat here everyday if I could. As a vegetarian, I have always avoided ramen joints as more often than not there is nothing for me on the menu. However Tiger Ramen offers two different vegetarian options, which is a lot considering how small their menu is! I usually go for the spicy veggie ramen which they offer at whatever level of spice you can handle. The ramen here is amazing! It is chock-full of veggies and noodles and if that isn’t enough for you, you always have the option to request additional noodles for a small charge. The bowls look intimidating at first but somehow I always manage to finish mine off. As for service and atmosphere, Tiger Ramen is first rate! As other have mentioned, it feels like you’ve left Kamloops and walked into a small noodle joint in Japan. The servers are always smiling and friendly. It’s always a treat to come here.

Much Japanese. So Ramen! This place feels like it could be in Japan. For me it’s all about the broth and I was not disappointed in my meal.

The ramen is really good. The taste is pretty nice. Not too light not too salty. The only disadvantage is a little small for a grown man.(But just figured out they have a large size) When bringing a kid you can try to order mini size which is perfect.

It’s pretty good, but I think Sanbiki can make a better ramen, but for a higher price. You get more noodles for your buck here at Tiger Ramen, a lot more noodles. Oodles of noodles…

Menu is small, but the ramen is good — especially the tonkotsu ramen. Gyoza/dumplings are disappointing — mainly due to the texture of the wrapper. They have some good special items — I like the ramen salad in summer.

The ambiance is just like a little noodle joint in Tokyo. Walk in, grab one of the ~20 seats, and someone will be over in a few minutes to take your order. The ramen is a particular style with starchy broth(as one reviewer mentioned) that I quite like. Other clear broths don’t seem to have as much flavour. The noodles are a nice chewy texture. The ramen comes in a smaller bowl than we expected(compared to phở) but filled us up perfectly. We went twice in one week. On the first visit, I ordered a Tonkotsu Ramen which comes with slices of roasted pork. I loved the rich, flavourful broth and the pork was amazing. Hubby ordered the miso ramen and enjoyed his soup but wished he had ordered the BBQ pork version so that he got meat with his meal. On the second visit hubby ordered the Tonkotsu ramen — just as good as before — and I ordered the spicy soup(can’t remember the name). It made my eyes water and I loved it. Both times we ordered a plain bowl of noodles, no broth, for the 2-year-old and the staff were perfectly willing to accomodate(other places i’ve been seem confused by the notion…) The staff are very friendly and gracious(especially considering what a mess 2-year-olds make). The waitservice is minimal but it’s a small enough place that it’s not an issue. Go up to the front when you’re ready to pay — don’t wait for the bill.

Ok ramen joint. I ordered the BBQ shoyu ramen andy bf ordered the miso ramen. Lean BBQ pork was very dry and chewy, and not in a good way. Everything else was decent.

The ramen was decent and the gyozas were ok. The broth was a little too thick/starchy for my liking and the noodles were a little soggy. However, the service was extremely friendly and polite. Someone mentioned on trip advisor that the ramen was comparable to the ones in Toronto… not true at all.
