Great service, fresh and tasty menu items. Drove from Vancouver to stay here especially because they offer Cranog Back Hand of God stout. Patio seating offered a great view of the sunset and the river valley.

Romeo’s is located in the Coast Hotel. It has a bar/lounge area and restaurant. The décor is nice and modern and the staff very friendly. I guess you would describe the menu as «upscale casual.» It has a good selection of great sounding dishes. We went with the poutine to start– the fries were crisp, the cheese curds melted nicely, and the gravy bubbling. It was served on a cast iron skillet. Simple dish but well executed. We both got the west coast seafood chowder. It was filled with salmon, mussels, clams, potatoes, and shrimp– with a nice dill flavor twist. It came with a toasted slice of thick focaccia bread for dipping. We both got salads– a Caesar with chicken and a spinach salad. They were both excellent with great flavors and just the right amount of dressing. The grilled chicken was cooked perfectly. If you’re staying at the coast hotel or nearby I highly recommend giving Romeo’s a shot.
