Top 5 places to go eat in the city! Long the food. Not the fastest or most serviceable place but really the food is incredible. Very friendly staff. Any of the Korma is great. I wish they had a better location and not in the basement. Above is a hipster club and sometimes you can hear loud music.

We had dinner here last night based on Unilocal reviews. While most of the food was good, I felt they nickel and dimed you for everything. Rice isn’t included with any of the entrees, and no substitutions were allowed… they just weren’t very service oriented. Worse, it was approx –7 degrees C outside, and the heat didn’t seem to be working. We ate dinner in coats and scarves, and complaints regarding the frigid temperatures were completely ignored. We ordered samosas for an appetizer and the combo meal(non-vegetarian). It included butter chicken, naan, chick peas, a small salad, a piece of papadam, basmati rice and a sample(1 ball of gulab jalum) of dessert. The butter chicken was okay, but seemed to have more of a tomato flavor than I’m used to. The samosas and paratha were the items I enjoyed the most. I probably wouldn’t return!

SO good and definitely affordable. The portions are huge and although the décor looks a little ill-fitting, everything else is wonderful. The service is fast and extremely helpful, and all the food served was given out in a timely manner and was fresh. I highly recommend getting the garlic naan regardless of whatever you’re eating, and also the pakoras

Delicious and affordable! I love eating here. The food has always been good and is freshly made. This time we had palak paneer, coconut curry lamb and garlic naan. This is also a veggie-friendly place. The service is very prompt and friendly, definitely family run. It’s a nice place to go with a medium size group, too, but if you have a large group call ahead for a reservation and they’ll suggest a menu for you and have everything ready at the right time. Don’t let a limited drink selection and a slightly odd shared entrance keep you away, the food is great! Also good for takeout.

Local delivery driver, former Nepalese Restaurant employee. Order: Saag(Spinach) Chicken, Rice, Naan Very good food(I may be biased), reasonable price, LARGE chunks of chicken, they even cut up your naan Have not dined in but observations=chill & ambient. Nepalese-Indian food off the mountain, look no further!

Sagarmatha was recommended by a friend — and I’m happy to report it was delicious. We arrived about 7:45 on Sunday night — the place was pretty dead to be honest. Not sure when people like to go out to eat in this town. There were a few customers dining solo. We were happy to score a table in the back facing the rest of the dining room. Ambience wise there was some music playing — but pretty quiet — the sound of chopping in the kitchen dominated the room. There were beautiful paintings hanging on the walls, and photos of mountains. I loved the purple and orange colors. I started with a beer, and my boyfriend got a mango lassi — both very refreshing. I got the tikka chicken combo. It came with tender juicy and very flavorful chicken pieces on top of a bed of rice. A side of lentils, which were also very flavorful and delicious. A small side salad, and a few fried pieces of veggies. The fried veggies were pretty dry and didn’t come with any sort of dipping sauce. The meal also came with 2 huge pieces of naan. I wanted garlic naan so we ordered more — and should have just substituted for the regular that came with the combo. It was waaaay to much bread for a fairly dry meal. But the garlic naan dipped in lentils was TODIEFOR. Melt in your mouth heaven on wheels. I could eat that every day for the rest of my life. Yum. My boyfriend had lamb, which was good — but I preferred the chicken. We are both looking forward to trying more items on the menu. I had a hard time choosing — so many things looked appetizing. Proportion size the combo was great for one person — I didn’t need to order anything else. Our waiter was very nice but not super attentive, we probably could have gone through a lot more drinks and would have asked for chutneys and extras if he would have come by to check on us more often. Don’t expect fast service — everything was home cooked, and deliciousness sometimes takes time :) We loved this place.
