LOVE this place. Been going there for 3 years and will continue. Waitress is very attentive and always clears the plates in perfect time. Great food. Filling. Mmmm buffet *drool* Well priced. If you haven’t been here I suggest you check it out. The only thing that I dislike is that there is no parking lot and that there isn’t a location on the mountain! Might be a good thing though, if I had convenient access I’d probably never eat at home lol

You can’t really beat Modern India’s current express buffet. $ 8 for not only WAY more than one person should consume in a single sitting, but a wide variety of exceptionally high quality dishes. I go here, often. Too often.

The selection is really decent and the food is ok. If the dishes can be spiced up a bit, I am sure they can be really good. Not a good place for group with old folks or people with disabilities. You need to climb steps to go to second floor to use restroom.

Honestly, don’t let the 1980’s décor scar you. This restaurant is top notch and has such a wide variety of Indian flavors to try. They restock the buffet every 5 minutes and everything is very very fresh! Although I gave it a 5 star review I would like to mention that there aren’t enough desert options and every one they do have is far to sweet, but I guess that’s what some people are looking for in desert. I wouldn’t call it a deal breaker because that’s just my opinion, most likely it will appeal to you. buffet cost 15 dollars after tax! amazing cost for value along with great friendly staff made for a very pleasurable experience.

Love the food. Not too spicy and not too bland. I think it’s a good middle for people who like quality food without having their mouth burned. They play good Bollywood music which contributes to the vibe. The customer service is okay, servers could be more welcoming. It was apparent that I was judged when asking for an alcoholic beverage. Overall, I go for the food.

Wonderful buffet spread! This is buffet had an amazing variety of options including many vegetarian as well as non-veg options. The food was very tasty! They also don’t serve Naan at the table but let you choose it at the buffet. Also had great selection of desserts. Ample space in the restaurant. Loved it!

Weve come here a couple of times and absolutely love it. The quality is high, the food always tastes fresh and the buffet ia super diverse. You also cant beat the value! The only thing is i wish there were more dessert options. Were gonna keep coming here for my indian food cravings! The naan is delicious! !

One of my kids had a swim tournament in Hamilton so we were looking for dinner. The modern indian buffet was close and it had favourable reviews, plus it was only a two minute walk from our hotel. The restaurant interior was ok, everything was in place. It has a homely feel, and the first thing you can see when you come in was the buffet tables. I was quite happy to find curried goat on the buffet. It’s been hard to find a good one, and I filled a third of my plate with it and washed it down with the fresh Naan bread. I know a lot of people have commented favourably on the butter chicken. It was a little too sweet for me. The dessert section was ok. Fresh fruit, rice pudding, vanilla custard, and a couple of other indian delicacies. There were a lot of flavours and textures of food to try out. I ate a little more than I should have. I really should have brought my gym gear to work off the food. My autistic son was a little put off by the experience. He kept to the familiar foods, French fries, cucumbers, fruit, and I was glad that he tried and devoured Naan, and ate a bit of goat. But we are talking about a picky kid. Value for money for a dinner was great. $ 73 including tax, excluding tip for three adults and two kids.

Consistently fresh and tasty food. They mix it up every now and then, but keep the common favorites, which we love. Best way to try indian food if you’ve never tried it or are a little leary. You won’t be disappointed. Best value for your money as well. Come for lunch, under $ 10 for your meal including your beverage and dessert! We’ve been here over a dozen times I think and will continue to return as long as they keep the food sand prices the same!

Medicore Indian buffet. Although they have a wide selection of dishes, the food itself is not all that tasty. Don’t get me wrong, it does taste fine, but it is nothing that makes me want to recommend to a friend. I do like that they have a good selection of food to choose from unlike other Indian buffets in the area. I have been here a handful of times and have left content everytime. Parking is pretty much non existent to be ready to pay for street parking. Overall I would not recommend this restaurant to a friend as the food is not up to what I expect from an Indian buffet.

Not a bad place for a variety of flavors. If you like a plethora variety of curries and veggie dishes including desserts this buffet will satisfy your taste buds. Price is decent for buffet. It’s not as clean as other reviews have mentioned. But it is a bargain. The only thing lacking is parking.

I ordered out from here for the first time yesterday and was really impressed! We got the Rojan Gosh with beef and Butter Chicken — the meat in both of which was very nicely cooked and had the dishes great tastes. I’ve had a lot of Indian food, and the food here was pretty much as good as I’ve tasted. The price is right for good portion sizes too. I’ll be going back!

Cheap and good value. Butter chicken is my favorite food here. Sweet rice is also a good desert to digest a lot of meat. 9.99FORWEEKLY LUnCH BUFFET.

Last night I went to the Indian Buffet @ Main & Caroline. My boyfriend had been raving about it for awhile so we decided to go on a Sunday night date. At first glance and sniff, it looked like there was a good selection of meat and vegetarian items. I’m a huge fan of Butter Chicken it’s a staple for me at any Indian restaurant. It was definitely comparable to many high end Indian places in Toronto(like The Host in Yorkville which in my opinion has one of the best Butter Chicken around). I soaked up that Butter Chicken with the Naan like it was going out of style. I wasn’t a huge fan of the Alloo & Saag(spinach & potato) it was just meh to me. The Goat curry was tough but the curry was delic. I would really love to see on the menu is Shrimp Vindaloo… definitely saw the sauce but no Shrimps. Totally recommend this place because for the price point you are definitely getting what you pay for. Fri-Sun $ 13.95 and $ 11.99 during the week — all you can eat. I would go back just for the Butter Chicken alone. :)

This place is a great to go for get togethers since it has a wide selection that has something for everyone. I recently went there with a picky group of people and they all found something they liked. Personally I found the food to be good for the most part but there were a few dishes that were too salty when I went there(the samosas in particular). The location is big, so like @Rob Y said, there will be no wait times at any part of the day. An added bonus is that for a little bit more(1 – 2 $ I think) you get unlimited refills. One small caveat, is that since it’s located in the downtown, they don’t have a parking lot, so you may or may not find street parking in the area.

Location has changed to 163 Main St W.(I think this is the new address) Anyways, better location and bigger place! It has 2 floors, and that means no wait times. For buffet style I have no complaints. Good food, and unlimited soda refills(I think they charge 1.00 more if you want an imported indian beer like Tiger which is worth the upgrade, although not unlimited). I myself find alot of these dishes very filling, and find it hard to eat a lot of food. Would definetely go back though!
