I love this place. They have some really great frozen yogurt flavours. I had honeydew the other day and it was amazing. They have a lot of cute candies to put on your yogurt. It’s pricey but a great tip is less yogurt and more toppings. They generally weigh less than the yogurt so you can get a little more bang for your buck.

Awesome quality frozen yogurt, I usually choose this or goji’s Frozen Yogurt. Menchies flavors are top notch also their toppings, a vast selection. I did have a stale waffle cone once but It was still great.

I recommend this place far above the places on Quinpool or SGR… they always make you feel welcome and are always pleasant and helpful. The selection isn’t much to some people, but, if you are like me, it gives you chance to be a mad scientist of fro-yo flavor mixing.

I admit, I wasn’t keen on the«froyo revolution» that Halifax is experiencing of late. It all seems a bit overpriced to me. That said… it certainly is delicious! The first time I went, I actually got a nice little gift — some take home yogurt. I’m not fooling myself, I know that this is probably leftover stuff but I didn’t care, it was a nice touch. The second time I was there, I’d come with a 2-for-1 coupon and they then gave me a 20% off coupon for the next time I was there. Which I used about 15 minutes later when I got a second helping. It was a bad day. So what about the place? Well, it’s certainly bright and cheerful. The chairs are comfortable and the staff seem to welcome you to stay as long as you like. I’ve seen people playing card games over their froyo! The selection is quite good — it seems that they mix up the flavours every now and then which is a good way to keep people coming back to try out something new. The toppings are good though I do wish they had cherries. It can be pricey(my orders usually ring in around $ 10 – 12) but as an occasional treat, why not?!

I come back from being in France for 4 months to a slew of Frozen Yogurt chains — the only ones I had known about previously were tin the movies theatres(TCBY) and now, they’re everywhere! Maybe I went a little crazy with the 5 star rating because I was so excited… but… you know… What’s great about frozen yogurt? It’s soft so you can eat it with a spoon and it’s healthier than ice cream! What’s great about Menchies? You serve yourself and they charge you based on the weight. Choose your ice cream: vanilla, chocolate, pineapple, peanut butter(?!), etc. then put on the toppings! Chocolate chips and sprinkles are a thing of the past, add some skor bars, shredded nuts and… what’s this?! NANAIMOBARS!!! I’ve read that it’s expensive here but I left with a treat less than $ 5. Cheaper than the movie theatre stuff. If you have questions, the staff is super friendly and you leave with a cute spoon, some stickers and hey — get the points program! It’s worth it =)

Ok, Ok… Everyone is talking about Menchie’s, so I HAD to try it! Luckily, I love frozen yogurt and love toppings even more! After enjoying the sun on a patio, just up the street, we decided the only logical thing was to get some frozen yogurt! Everyone else I was with had experienced this before. I was the newbie! Decision making skills are not at the forefront of my repertoire, but I also love having the ability to taste test the flavours before committing! There were some delicious and flavourful options, but for my first time I decided to go with coconut and crème brûlée, as to not have TOO much competition for my toppings options! Now this is where it gets interesting… Literally anything you want, including FULL nanaimo bars and sour keys, is at your disposal.(I am a sucker for classic skor and oreo, but gummy worms and fresh fruit also go amazingly. ANYTHING goes here!) *WARNING: the price is based on weight, so the more you top, the more you pay!* Another fun aspect is going with a few people and seeing what everyone makes! It is almost a personality exercise. Plain yogurt and fruit; classic flavour yogurt with fun toppings; ALL the flavours of yogurt and EVERY topping… see who does what! My only real critique is the price. I would most definitely indulge more if it was not so expensive, even with just a small amount. I mean we can’t ALL be Kardashians, but at least at Menchie’s we can all pretend a little!(they have pics of celebrities all over who have eaten there… weird, but I love me some celebs!)

Ok to Start this review up, I’ve seen this place a few times when I was on Barrington and first time I went in was I desperately needed to use the restroom. Anywho the man who was there was incredibly nice and I was able to get info from him [even gave me a 20% off next purchase] So on the Day I came back to use my coupon, it was bright and sunny, was able to try a few of their flavors and decided to have one part Crème Brulee and one part Purely Tart which was nice with the sour and sweet, I got chopped up kiwi, watermelon pieces, maraschino cherries, and lychee popping boba and Orange popping boba [which Yeh! does not have.]. It truly was yummy. but what almost made this a 4 star review was the staff seemed tired and not happy [which who knows maybe it was an off day for them.] I’d also like to say that Menchie’s has a lot of different yogurts when compared to Yeh! [in the future I’m gonna try out CherryBerry wish me luck =D]

On top of having a horrible name, Menchies really doesn’t measure up compared to CherryBerry. The selection is limited, the frozen yogurt was just ok and the containers were kind of dirty and old looking. Add more chocolate bar bits for starters!

Beautiful colourful adorable place that also offers vegan sorbets that are delicious and flavourful. Lots of delicious toppings to choose from. Free stickers and a cheery atmosphere and that can’t help but make you smile.
