At first I was like, this is a provincial beach park? I honestly drove past it, until I saw the sign and the parking lot. Nova Scotia’s got some pretty beautiful large beach front provincial parks. but this one? Not so much. You know what it does have to win me over? That big beautiful boardwalk! Dang that’s a well kept boardwalk. There is a small beach at one part of the very short stroll along this boardwalk, it has some sand, I’m sure people swim there. I like all the covered picnic benches and garbage cans. No excuses! I’m looking at you general public. Put that trash where it belongs. It’s worth the stroll, it’s so close to the Government Wharf shops. So cute, I need to come back here in the summer and spend a day here. it’s a Fudge, ice cream, seafood, gift shop knick knack paradise.

While this is a beach-related park, I don’t foresee a lot of swimming here. It’s more of a «wade into the water a bit» kind of beach. The water’s pretty cold and the wind is pretty strong. However, if you’re looking for a gentle stroll along the water’s edge on the wooden boardwalk, this is the place for you! It’s right next to the Fisherman’s Wharf shopping/eating area so this is a good way to walk off some of those calories. On a nice calm day, you can also find tons of stones to skip across the water.
