The scent of leather is so thick, I just about taste it. Welcome to the house of upscale fur and leather finds.
While I’ve never been anti-​fur, walking into this shop and seeing it all in one spot was a little unsettling. Beaver, minx, rabbit and other animals of the forest were hanging on racks for all to see. I felt guilty just being there.
The sales lady was sweet and offered the details on the coats and cuts that would’ve come in handy if I was planning to purchase. The overall cut of both fur and leather coats was more of a classic, conservative look. (As conservative as leather and fur can be!) The selection didn’t strike me as «current», and perhaps best suited for the mature lady.
Leather pants and biker coats are available in an assortment of colors. Fur hats and vests are an option as well. The price tags are expectantly high, with coats coming in at up to $ 5000, and hats for $ 500. If you are in the market, the store is in the midst of a stock turnover; everything in the shop is on sale for half price. As well, this shop specializes in professional repairs and remodeling.
I don’t think I’d have it in me to invest in a fur, but if this is your delight, Furs & Leathers is an upscale, exclusive boutique worth checking.
