History

Established in 1958.

Keith Coles is the founder of The Coles Group Inc., and started in the insurance business in Halifax, in 1958 and went on to specialize in Life and Disability insurance for Business Owners, later accumulating all available Financial Planning professional designations, as well as his Trust and Estate Practitioner’s designation (TEP).

Approximately 22 years after Keith started, it became a second-​generation family business with the addition of his sons, Alan (specializing in Employee Benefits) and then David (Specializing in General and Commercial Insurance).

Several years after that, it expanded outside the family when Jeff MacBurnie joined to specialize in Financial Planning, Mutual/​Segregated Funds, etc.

Then Stephen MacEachern join us to help expand and broden our abilities to provide products and services that meet client’s needs Our most recent addition is Petrina Bewsher.
