Specialties
We take you back in time to 1863 when Alexander Keith was in the height of his brewing business. You learn the history of Alexander Keith, you will learn about the brewing process, those 19+ can sample two mugs of Keith’s beer, and we’ll sing and dance at you with some traditional folk songs.
History
Established in 1820.
Alexander Keith started his Brewing business. When you walk around the Keith’s brewery, you will find parts of the building that have been erected ever since then. Our tour will take you down to the Stag’s Head Tavern where the walls are built with the original ironstone walls. Granite and brickwork from all ages of the building can be seen in our main courtyard where cobble stones make up the floor.
In 2000 our Keith’s Brewery Theatrical Tour was founded, and the Keith’s Dining Room, Brew House, and Stag’s Head Tavern were restored to this historic building.
