Top notch Udon soup… just what I needed on a cold blustery day to feel better. I had Udon with Tempura. The broth was that perfect salty/sweet/savoury combination that you would find in a true traditional Udon broth… so satisfying. The tempura shrimp, yam, and broccoli were just the right amount of crispy, with a nice thick and tasty batter. Noodles were cooked to perfection. Also served with the Udon soup were a side dish of «caramelized black beans» which were not hot, just cold/room temperature, little bites of sweet bean heaven. And a side of Kimchi, which was honestly the best kimchi I have ever eaten. Brought out with the bill was a frozen grape with powdered sugar, which i thought was a nice touch to finish off the meal, instead of a hard candy like most places. The atmosphere here is very relaxed. For me, it was the perfect place to dine alone on my lunch hour. Service was just the right amount of friendly and helpful. Food was brought out to the table very quickly, which was convenient when I only had an hour to spend total. They also take debit which was handy. I will be back here soon to try the sizzling bibimbap which I saw another table enjoying. Guelph needed a place like this, my only request is that they add a spicy or pork bone ramen to the menu :), as there are zero good spots for ramen in Guelph!

I ordered a gamjatang(pork bone soup) in this restaurant. It was one of the worst gamjatang i have tried so far. The soup is bland, no spices whatsoever. Yet, they charged your for $ 10.50 for one. Everything on the menu are also expensive. They only gave me 2 small side dishes.5 small pieces of fermented black beans and kimchi. The in house kimchi was terrible. However, the frozen grapes they served at the end are pretty good. Overall, it was not a good dining experience.

Went for lunch at Soora and it was delicious! My husband and I used to live in Korea and found the food to be very authentic! We shared the kimbap(Korean roll) and each ordered the bulgogi bibimbap. The kimchi was great too! Already planning our next Korean meal here :)

This place is terrific. Friendly service. Great food. Cheap prices. And they give you frozen grapes at the end to freshen you up. We’ve been living in Guelph for two weeks and have been there twice already and surely planning another trip soon. Our favourite restaurant of any category in Guelph so far.

I used to live in Koreatown in Toronto so I’ve been lucky enough to have eaten some of the best Korean food outside of Korea. I was quite pleased to see that a place like Soora had finally opened in Guelph. Finally able to get my Korean food fix! It’s a quaint spot, no fuss interior. I got my food to go so I skippped on the Bibimbop this time, but I did get some favourites. — Bulgogi — comes with rice and salad — Chicken Gangjung — Tonkatsu(pork cutlet) — comes with mashed potato and salad — Tempura veggies The total came to less than $ 45. Bulgogi — very flavourful but the sesame oil was too over powering. Chicken Gangjung & Tonkatsu — DELICIOUS! Tempura veggies, salad, rice — satisfactory All of this food fed 3 people, with enough left overs to feed 2 more people. 4 star rating because it didn’t come with the usual assortment of korean side dishes(banchan). Especially surprised it didn’t at least come with kimchi. I will come back, though, to have the bibimbap.

Absolutely delicious and a very cute place. Plus, reasonable prices! My husband ordered the bulgogi bibimbap and I had the pork bibimbap. Very delicious and satisfying. Try the corn tea too. It may sound weird, but it’s very aromatic and simple tasting. Their in house kimchi is pretty tasty too: o)
