Called three days before my group wanted to go riding — nobody called me back. When we called the day of, they could no longer accommodate us.

I found the office staff to be hyper-focused on making sure I pay. The owner Annette was downright condescending every time I spoke to her, either in person or over the phone. We declined the helmets, signed the waiver, and paid in cash in advance. After a two-minute introduction to the operation of our equine vehicles, we were on our way. I found the guide to be moderately friendly, and the grounds were pretty enough, considering it’s all Ontario farmland(ie. trees and grass, as far as the eye can see). My horse was too old to gallop; after a few seconds of speed he’d slow back down, no matter how much I clucked my tongue or squeezed with my knees. But, despite these humdrum circumstances, I had a fantastic time, due purely to the fact that I was on a HORSE! Whee! Horses are smart, I think he understood what I was saying to him. I chattered to Thunder(that’s his name) for the whole hour-long ride. Based on some(all negative) comments I saw on TripAdvisor, I made sure to book a private ride, and to come in early(10am). This was definitely a good move on my part, because immediately after us was a group of over a hundred kids. I really enjoyed horseback riding, but if I were to do it again I would try Teen Ranch, which is not too far from Wildwood. Directions, cause I think this will come in handy: — From the intersection of 32nd Sideroad and 9th Line, head south on 9th Line — Drive 2 – 5 minutes, you’ll see the sign on your left
