Four Points by Sheraton & Conference Centre Gatineau-Ottawa

Selected this hotel for a night stay in the Ottawa area.
The check in was prompt. The room was clean and well maintained. The TV did not work but the maintenance you came and did fix something and it worked. The service was quick
The bathroom was clean and well maintained as well. The bed was firm and comfortable. The only downer was $ 15 a night parking fee. The Museum of Civilization is across the street and Ottawa parliament buildings a few minutes.
No nearby restaurants in walking distance.

Really nice and friendly staff, clean and nice rooms… enjoyed my stay here. My only complaint… the Sheraton i had called to stay at was downtown Ottawa and they said it was booked but their four points was only 1 mile away… they fail to mention that 1 mile is across a bridge and quite a distance from the city… so not as easily walked as they made it seem. Overall, very nice though.

Nicely maintained hotel, little pricey but worth it. This hotel is just situated opposite to the museum of Ottawa which is a prime attraction. You can walk to this museum.
The place is very safe at nights, day. I visited in the month of May 2015 and the weather was absolutely fantastic, wonder how this will look in the snow time! Also we took a corner traditional room which was worth the view for the river!

As a flight attendant I’m really used to staying in hotels and can easily compare between them. This hotel is really well located, the rooms on the 7^th floor are nice. A few things needed repair: the toilet was not well secured on the floor and therefore was wobbly, the fan was really really noisy. The maid entered the room even when the «do not disturb» sign was on handle and did not even knock before entering. Morning breakfast was great with efficient service from our server.

Fast elevators, check! Great location, Check! Good rooms, check! Good restaurant? Nah! Good bar? Double Nah!!!

I’ve stayed here on 2 occasions in the last 3 years, and both occasions were memorable — in a good way.
The other night I had the pleasure of staying at this hotel and was treated to classy service from the front desk staff (Thanks to JP, Front Desk Manager and your team) a clean, modern room, and great proximity to Ottawa.
It was really nice to end my trip at this hotel — they really know how to treat a guest. I hope to be back on my next trip through Ottawa.

Room was advertised on their website as the «Junior Parlour» with «all the amenities of a traditional room» and «takes convenience up a notch with a separate living area including sofa bed» and a choice of king or 2 double beds. What a DISAPPOINTMENT. What I got was the sofa bed. No separate room AND NO REAL BED. Front desk said that’s what this room type really is. Definitely not the way to start out a long business trip.
On a positive note, the restaurant was much better than the typical hotel restaurant fare.

La chambre est très bien, propre et de bonne grandeur. Design simple et moderne. Grande télé plasma (un must pour moi). Lit douillet et confortable. Bien situé à Gatineau.

After getting a good deal online, some colleagues and I stayed here instead of our usual haunts in Ottawa.
The deal came with breakfast, which the hotel didn’t follow through on and said it wasn’t their problem.
Unfortunately on one of the meeting days I fell really ill and was physically sick all morning. When I called room service and explained the situation and asked for a piece of bread or toast, they said they couldn’t accommodate me. Are you kidding?! They also did not offer any sort of assistance– most hotels will offer information for a local doctor or clinic– nothing.
We’ll definitely be going back to Ottawa.

This is where I always stay when I come to Ottawa on business. It’s far less expensive than the hotels right across the bridge!
I stay here so often that the front desk staff, and the morning crew in the restaurant know me by name.
The hotel is very decent and reasonable for business travellers. I like the corner, king rooms, and always chose the room + breakfast rate (It’s an extra $ 7 for breakfast, and if you go down to the restaurant for coffee in the morning, you’ll pay over $ 4 for that alone, so it’s worth it.)
I find their indoor parking lot to be very odd, and narrow, but I guess it does the trick.

This is my secret home away from home when I visit Ottawa. It has boutique hotel charm, lovely service, a quiet atmosphere and is just a short cab ride or hike (usually cold and blustery no matter the time of year) across the Pont Alexandra to the popular ByWard Market Area and Parliament Hill.
Room rates are more endearing than hotels on the Ontario side of the river. If you wish to seek some culture, the Museum of Civilization is directly across the street.
As for me, I come here to rest and relax and recuperate from the politics and chicanery of Ottawa. Recently renovated, the rooms have über-​modern décor, flat screen TVs and sleek white subway tiled washrooms. And for some reason, when I stay here, I have the best sleep of my life.
