love love LOVE the Sea Blush Café in Montague Harbour on Galiano Island! Everything we’ve eaten there has been absolutely delicious! Prices are reasonable, service is friendly and helpful, and such a treat to have such an awesome place to eat out if you are on a boat in the harbour. Be sure to try the breakfast cheese and bacon muffins(to die for), and the raspberry coconut cake(our favourite treat!), the salads, nachos, soups, all are divine!

The Sea Blush Café is a lovely spot in Galiano Island for lunch. Think patio seating with views of the water. Their menu appeals to every appetite – I had a delicious burger with a house salad, and my vegan boyfriend had a few options to choose from – and they sell homemade baked goods inside as well. The service was friendly and it made for a fantastic start to our island vacation. My only recommendation to visitors who are not familiar with the island is to make sure you search using the address in Google Maps or your GPS rather than searching with the name of the café. Google Maps places the restaurant on another part of the island, which meant we were a bit lost for half an hour. Also, the café is located on the marina, so you won’t find signs for it on the road. We were lucky to bump into some locals who said that we were at the right place. :) Highly recommended!

Love this place. I must admit my experience in the past of water front restaurants is subpar quality. Not here. The food is tasty innovative and the servings ample with reasonable prices. Food is fresh! They maintain a herb garden every season. The hamburgers are awesome, a real treat gourmet style. The fish tacos? So fresh. Desserts? The carrot cake was So good my son wanted us to inquire if it could be his birthday cake. His birthday was after the season was over. The owner sweetly agreed to it if I called her closer to the date… and it was a huge hit! Love this place and a lovely addition to the dining experience on Galiano.

This café is markedly improved with new owners. We had lunch of chicken Caesar salad, salmon on pretzel roll sandwich, and mac and cheese for the kids. Everything was excellent and our server was very knowledgable. The homemade raspberry vinegrette dressing was just the right balance of flavor in the house salad that included tasty diced beets. The baked goodies looked delicious as well but we had to take them to go as we were stuffed after our delicious lunch.

I admit I hold pre-judgements against restaurants on prime real estate, so when I come across a humble café with a patio built over the ocean, I’m already expecting subpar food. The gorgeous view will compensate for bland cuisine, right? Well in this case, there was no need — the food here is AMAZING! I had the lemongrass salad(ridiculously tasty if you like Southeast Asian food) and my bf had the fish tacos. Expectations blown out of the water. Fresh, full of flavour, and not your typical café/smalltown restaurant food. As a little dessert to have at the beach, I bought a marshmallow/peanut butter square. I had these as a kid and they are pretty nostalgic for me. WELL — these ain’t your mom’s 1980’s squares. The baker hand makes the mallows from scratch,(not to mention the squares), making it the most decadent, ballin’, free-range, legit etc etc hipster stuff there is. The next day we went back for breakfast and to buy more of those squares. All the desserts look great, but I couldn’t allow myself fall in love/lust with more options. I’m ruined without access to those squares. If I go off grid, I’m paying debts in a kitchen in Galiano…
