Open Road Motorcycle Training

WARNING! I would never normally write a review for a business, but this company is a hazard on all safety concerns. The owner should not be allowed to operate anything as sensitive as a driving school.
My experience with this business started out with my credit card having $ 1000 of purchases that I never made causing my visa to be cancelled. I never normally use this card so I found very strange this happened the next day after paying for the classes. Not saying that it was them that scammed my card, but it started out fishy.
When I found out I called the owner to tell him what happened to make sure the payment had gone through for the school and everything else was canceled by Visa. He told me I needed to chill out. That he had my money the entire time and that I should «go smoke weed». I cannot believe that is what the owner of a driving school would say to me.
Later on in the course I needed to do my parking lot test in Langley without a motorcycle license I had no way to get my motorcycle out there legally. The owner suggested that «I don’t care how you have to get out here» rather than having me drive my car out to Langley and using their bike for 15 minutes for the test. I told him I wouldn’t be willing to have my motorcycle impounded for driving illegally and I went and finished all my tests through ICBC.
I caution anyone that considers this a professional school. Please do not waste your money on them. I ended up teaching myself how to ride because of the lack of professionalism they offer. I do not want to say that every school is this way, and I strongly advise professional motorcycle schooling, but do not waste your money on Open Road.

Should have gone through a more professionally operated outfit than this… Not too pleased with having one instructor for so many students on the lot for training. Comments made by instructor concerning frustration toward other students didn’t sit well with me… Lesson learned… you get what you pay for.
The only review info aside from Unilocal I could find for this school was on the BBB website for a complaint filed.(needless to say they are no longer associated with BBB) I think after reading in additon to my experience, ill avoid recommending this school :/​The only positive I would say is their location for learning to ride is good as less traffic to deal with.

This is a great motorcycle school run by Bob and Pam. They have a wide range of bikes to learn on, and they make sure you are ready to be a safe rider and pass your test.
They take you from the classroom to the parking lot and out on the road. When it is time for your road exam, they meet you at the facility with one of their bikes.
Their students never leave, lol. We all hang out and ride together. It’s a club.
