Wilson’s Auto Tech

I’ve been taking my 2001 Honda Civic to Wilson’s for about 4 years, beginning shortly after moving to Edmonton. After living for several years in small towns, when I moved to the «big city» I figured I wouldn’t find the same kind of trustworthy, personal service I got in small town auto repair shops, but at Wilson’s I have. They’ve provided top quality work, outstanding service and communication, and reasonable prices. They’ve gone «above and beyond» what I’d normally expect from a repair shop on more than one occasion. And as a female car-​owner I especially appreciate that they explain things clearly without ever talking down to me (like some places do). I always recommend them to anyone I know with a Honda or Toyota.

I have been extremely impressed with Wilsons auto tech. They are friendly, knowledgeable and run a great business. Wilson takes the time to personally talk with you as a customer and explains things in clear terms. They are honest and will not recommend a service unless it actually needs to be done. I will be taking my tundra there for years to come and would highly recommend this business to anyone.

I was a first time customer of Wilson’s Auto Tech. When I called to make my appt. they took as much time as required listening to my concerns. Very polite as well.
Customer service at the shop was great. I found them very sincere and provided me with all the information I required at the time of completion.

I have been going to Wilson’s for 5 years and I have never met a more honest group of people in the auto business. I have both a Toyota and Honda and they have serviced them exclusively. Wilson and Sid are great to deal with, professional with very fair pricing.
Frankly if you hear otherwise, it is because these are not long time customers or have had a one off experience. Even then, I know that Wilson goes to extreme lengths to make it right. They truly believe in customer service.
Highly recommended from someone with high expectations!

Update:
I finally had the chance to try out Wilson’s for more than just an oil change. My older Civic was running consistently rough and had an engine light. I dropped it off, and made it clear that I was in no hurry, as it was my summer car. I requested an oil change and a diagnosis a condition I specifically described.
After a month, and no word from them at all, I called. They said it was fixed, just a loose wire, and charged me for an hour of diagnosis time, just to go over the car. Ok, more than I was hoping to pay, but its fixed.
A week of driving the car again, and it is clear it is not fixed. I took it back.
They wanted to charge me again for diagnosis time. I pointed out that it was the exact same issue I had dropped it off for earlier, and it turns out they could not duplicate the problem on the first visit, but just tightened the battery cable and hoped for the best! (after checking out the car). This should not have happened after I described the conditions so carefully and waited until the car was consistently misbehaving. They decided to waive the fee this time around, and suggested a part that needed replacing.
The good news is that they had the best price to replace that part, and the work was done quickly and properly this time, with some shop supplies thrown in.
In conclusion? Mistakes happen, and you can’t get a car to misbehave every time. When I pointed out how I felt wronged, they were quick to correct it, and the repair price was pretty good. Some good, some bad, but I appreciate their response to my concern.
Communication doesn’t appear to be their forte, but the price is good.

I have to update my review as the years go by. My first vehicle was a prelude which wasnt worth much so they did he best they can to find spare parts from the junk/​used car parts. Anyways do not talk to the lady bc she will try to sell you stuff you dont need. Be sure to check the toyota and honda mantenance schedule and be careful to keep asking questions.

I’ve been taking our cars here for several years as soon as they’re off warranty. Good quality work at a better price than the dealer.
Just before Christmas my oil pressure sensor sprung a leak. They got me in next day and had it fixed faster than what was expected.
Definitely a thumbs up from us.

I have been taking my Toyota and Honda vehicles to Wilsons for over 12 years. Their work is completed on time, on budget and with attention to detail. Their service is «old school» style — treating me like a genuine customer. They have saved me a great deal of money over the dealerships and frankly their work is better. I plan to continue driving Toyota’s just for the fact that Wilson’s will service the vehicle.

I used to take my car for servicing to the dealership, at least when it was under warranty. But the prices were too high. The trick is, it’s tough to find a mechanic to trust anywhere. Thank goodness a friend of mine recommended Wilson’s Auto Tech.
Wilson’s specializes in Hondas and Toyotas. I’ve been taking my vehicle to them since 2008, and I’ve always been really happen with not only the work they do – which is terrific — but the level of customer service they provide. From the friendly front-​desk staff to the hilarious, animated and kind shuttle driver Daniel, I’m glad to have found a place to take my car that isn’t a chore, or a total gouge fest.
The people at Wilson’s always check with you before starting work, and offer sound advice as to what repairs can be deferred and which ones are mission critical for the continued functioning of your car.
As long as I own a Honda, I’ll always take it to Wilson’s Auto Tech.
