Wheaton Honda

After attending a few different shops looking for a new vehicle we stop in here to look at the Fit. Ended up with good customer service and a great car. Bought it six months ago and wanted to wait for a bit til we gave a review here, but can tell you the car is fantastic and glad that we shopped around.
One of the things that stuck out as a huge positive was this: we had been to multiple dealerships looking for a car and when we were chatting with the Honda sales guy we had let him know this and wanted to compare. We took the Fit out and checked out on a drive and came back, but said we were heading over to Toyota to check out a Matrix. Sales guy was awesome and said it was totally cool and even wished us luck. No haggle, no pressure, and no begging us to stay. Like zero. What a breath o fresh air as opposed to most sales agents who desperately try to gain your service as you leave; the experience here was excellent and after ultimately a terrible Toyota encounter, we returned back to the same sales guy to purchase the Fit. It was because he was honest, up front, and held zero pressure on us — that is the reason why we went back.
Seems like common sense but dealing with so many car dealerships over the years I have become acclimatized to always taking to someone with an end game that differs from my best interest. Here at Honda, it was clear that the sales guys’ best interest were congruent to ours. Very cool.
We will be back down the road if and when we need to.

Always excellent customer service. Just how it should be. The work gets done right and usually sooner than promised. Nice lounge while you wait and there is airways coffee ready to go.

Since previous review wheaton Honda had contacted me to fix the remaining tire that was still giving me problems free of charge. I was contacted by email and told to go in and it will be fixed. I went by and was refered to the service dept manager. not an overly pleasant person who just seemed annoyed by the issue. I explained the problem and he told me «oh no the tires are always covered under a one year warranty on a purchased vehicle». so why then was I told before when trying to get this dealt with that they weren’t, annoying. He said he couldn’t take me at that time and I had to return in the morning, again annoyed as I wasn’t told this beforehand. They told me it could take a few hours to get done so I arranged for a ride since their shuttle bus only served south side. turns out it only took an hr which would have been great if I hadn’t arranged for someone to give me a ride due to the previous time estimate. but at the end of it the tire is fixed but my overall impression of the place hasn’t really changed.

To other customer oriented businesses: What is the lifetime purchasing value of each of your customers/​guests?

This review is for the service side, not the sales as I don’t have any experience with them.
I want to start by clarifying: I know NOTHING about cars. All I know is that mine is old (a 1992 Accord) and from time to time it needs a little help. I have taken my car to Mill Woods Honda twice and both times I have been extremely pleased with the quality of service I received.
The first time when I took it in for a routine oil change I was told there was going to be a «long» wait of half-​an-​hour and they hoped that was okay. I can’t believe they consider half-​an-​hour long. They finished right on time so there was no extra waiting for me.
My second visit to the repair shop was after someone broke off my antenna when I left my car parked over night (who does that?!) Since it’s an after-​market part I did have to book an appointment but they were able to get me in fairly quickly. The repair only took a couple hours and when I picked up my car I noticed that they had even taken the time to clean it. Now that’s service!
I definitely recommend Mill Woods Honda to anyone who needs their Honda serviced. Their prices are fair and the staff members are all pleasant and helpful.

Recently I needed a battery for an older vehicle. Nate at the parts desk was extremely helpful and very efficient.

I dealt with these guys a few times and I have to say, they weren’t that bad.
Usually car dealerships are full of super sleazy sales people (or at least in my experience they have been) but Millwoods Honda was decent.
They answered all my questions and I didn’t feel like I was being taken for a ride. And I didn’t feel pressured into anything, which was a nice change.
I was surprised by this place. Maybe you will be too.
