What do you get when you have a Tim Hortons next to the flagship Canadian Tire store? A popular Timmy’s. Consider there’s a ton of other businesses and anchor stores nearby and that crowd goes. This Timmy’s is in an area that lends to a great business, simply because there’s always lots of people around. Meanwhile, this location handles the crowds well, but delivering quality service and the same great tea/coffee/bagel/danishes we are accustomed to. What more could you ask for?

Oh, Tim Hortons! Why won’t you come to Los Angeles?!? Here is a great concept for the never-sleeping urban areas of the world. A donut shop that serves a whole lot more than donuts that is open 24 hours a day, has plenty of indoor seating, and has a drive-thru option. Pure genius! I can remember as a kid in the 80’s when Tim Hortons only served donuts, coffee, timbits(donut holes) and I think cookies, but since they contiually expand their menu. When they introduced muffins there was quite the stir, then bagels, soups and sandwiches. Now there’s all sorts of foods on their menu. Donut wise, the quality has gone down as this chain has expanded to every possible place to put a location, however, the double chocolate(chocolate donut dipped in chocolate icing) is by far my favorite donut on earth. Just thinking about it makes my tummy growl. Only Canadians can do a maple dip donut correctly and Tim Hortons is the leader in this arena. Their apple fritters are also intense and when they have them(which is so rare these days) the apple filled cinnamon donuts certainly deserve a recognition! I also haven’t seen the chocolate donuts with shredded coconut in awhile and those are really good too. Coming out of a late movie on a cold winter’s night, Tim Hortons is usually the option to go to and sitting in the restaurant, it’s not much different than the inside of a Mc Donald’s except they pretty it up with some fake plants and the seating is laid out a little more private. It would be nice to see them cave in and make their dining rooms look more like a coffee shop rather than a fast food joint as originally the restaurant was primarily a donut and coffee shop. LOVE this place and everytime I’m in Canada, I have at least a few donuts from Tim Hortons. Food that satifies the soul!
