Came here today and they were out of several items. Saturday, really. The meals we got were ok for a food court but looked nothing like the pictures which is the only reason I ordered what I did. My hot sauce side was so small it made me feel they were squeezing every cent out of my meal. Bottom line ok food but the value for the money falls short.

This has been the best fast food curry I have found; It’s reasonably priced, great portions, and I really really love their Coconut Chicken Korma(mmmmm) the butter chicken is also decent.

Butter chicken love, for the price you get good food, beats eating burgers. –Yelpku #6

Disappointing! Here is what happened to me on Wednesday: I went to Elections Alberta to try to vote, as per the instructions on their website. I drove from the south side to the north side, only to be told to head back to the south side to visit my Returning Officer instead. But it was almost 5PM, and I think I’d enjoyed maybe a muffin all day, so I simply had to stop at Kingsway Mall for some eats or I was going to cry. Like I mentioned in my review of Kingsway, I’m rarely at this mall, and I don’t know it well, but every time I visit, I’m surprised and impressed. I was stoked to see Tandori, a non-chain Indian place in the food court. I love Indian food. Michael J does not. He got mall Chinese food, and I got Tandori. Problem solved! But no, not problem solved. New problem: this food is not very good. In fact, I didn’t even finish my(not huge) plate of butter chicken with potatoes, salad and naan. Actually, the potatoes were really good. They were cooked perfectly and had an excellent spice about them. But the chicken had a gross texture — I couldn’t eat more than a few pieces. I mostly ended up soaking my naan in the curry and chowing down on that. I guess if it’s any consolation, Michael’s Chinese food wasn’t much better. Score one for chain fast food, I guess. :(

I came to Tandori for lunch while I was shopping with my family at Kingsway. It serves Indian fast-food. I’m normally used to eating at Indian restaurants, so the concept of an Indian fast food place was a bit new to me. The food was was alright, but nothing out of this world. It definitely wasn’t restaurant quality, which was a bit disappointing. The food didn’t taste very fresh at all. I think Rasoee at Southgate Mall is a better Indian fast-food place, but that’s just my opinion.

Tandori is one of the new outlets in the Kingsway mall food court. Keep in mind that the food you get is from Tandori is from a food court and you won’t be disappointed. You’ll get the traditional East Indian flare but not necessarily the best you’ve ever had. It will help you with a quick curry fix though. And, I do recommend their green curry — so good. The prices are reasonable for food court food and you can get a good lunch with a pop for under $ 10(an a good portion to boot). Try them the next time you’re at the mall.
