Barista crew is efficient and polite. If you come here during the day, expect tables to be taken up by McEwan students and business meetings. Not a lot of seating, but a nice space none-the-less. Large windows let in a lot of natural light, which makes this location welcoming.

Terribly slow service. They had 2 people working. I got there around 9:20 am on a Saturday and didn’t get to order my drink until 9:35. I have no clue why there was so little staff in a café in a heavily populated area on a Saturday morning.

This is an awesome Starbucks. There are lots of windows. It is bright and open and the baristas are always friendly and professional. They get to know you and your preferences. The only thing that is less than ideal is that there is slightly limited seating when things get busy. However we find the atmosphere to be much more professional then the second cup not far from there. Overall great place.

I recently popped in here before my nail appointment to grab a quick pick me up. There was only one person ahead of me and it looked as though she was purchasing a gift card. The two baristas that were working were trying to figure out how to ring in her purchase but we’re having a difficult time. The customer suggested taking my order and allowing me to go first while they figured out the gift card. The baristas said it was only going to be a second so I replied that I wasn’t in a huge rush. 10 mins later…(Yes, I was watching the clock) The TWO people working still hadn’t figured it out! I sadly had to walk out… I really should have said something but I was furious! I don’t think I will be back to this location. The lack of service, teamwork and disregard for the customers was a real turn off!

I’ve only ever been inside this location once. And I found it a bit of an odd experience if only because it was more lined up than the average Starbucks location usually is. Perhaps this is because they seemed to be training new staff, or rather because the staff they had were busy asking questions about things that are normally rather commonplace at the other Starbucks locations I normally visit. Regardless, my food was delicious, and I didn’t need to spend much time inside, so I’ll call this visit a success! :)

This is a great Starbucks location. It is located right across the street from MacEwan University and is a great study spot for students as their is free wifi and plenty of seating. Staff and friendly and drinks always made perfectly.

This is my preferred Starbucks to go to as the staff is always super friendly and polite. They have never made me feel like I needed to feel honoured to have them acknowledge me, which is a common trend I find at most of the chain locations. I do not drink coffee, I am not a Starbucks addict and I just am not a frequent customer by any means(with my lack of coffee drinking) but I have recently discovered a drink I love! A vanilla frappucino with raspberry syrup and whipped. I order it when my Starbucks junkie boyfriend drags me along to satisfy his withdrawals. I know very little of the lingo and I order small, medium or large, and the staff do not try to correct me or lecture me on the language of the coffee addict world… and I like that. Most other locations have refused to really help me when they find out I am not one of them. So a big thank you to the wonderful staff that has never shamed me as an outcast!

I like the location of this Starbucks, and it holds a lot of memories. Bf and I used to play the game of life on my iPhone after work here before we were dating. The staff are friendly and while it’s usually pretty busy I find there are lots of places to sit. The neighbourhood is safe so there are no complaints from me on this location, there is even a decent amount of street parking and parking around back!

This is one of the better Starbucks around. It’s busy and the area is nice also. It’s conveniently located across the road from Grant MacEwan University which might make it a lot noisier and tough to find a seat once school is in session. It’s a pleasant, spacious location with a good array of indoor and outdoor seating. I’ve never noticed the parking sign, but you can bet after getting a parking ticket at North Town Mall last week I am looking at the signs more closely. Unfortunately the lot here is managed by Diamond Parking as well. I have only begun to deal with that. Watch for my review of Diamond Parking and North Town Mall. It should be obvious that you should keep an eye on your car for the parking Nazis. If you’re going to be longer than two hours, you might want to find a better parking spot. I think I saw some free street parking. Busyness — This is a pretty busy location. It’s fairly close to downtown and just across from Grant MacEwan University. I would imagine that it gets even busier once school’s back in. Noisiness — There’s a nice high ceiling that seems to absorb the noise reasonably well. The music isn’t too loud either. Ambience — I’ve been coming to this Starbucks for a couple of years and I’ve always liked it. Power — It is available, but the window seats and tables in the centre have an issue. I’d bring an extension cord if you want to use some of the tables in the centre. Free wifi — Available and works well. Being one of those people who keeps a number of tabs open, you might want to login with a browser which you don’t use often, otherwise each page becomes a login page, oddly enough.(In Firefox Windows 7 at least.) Staff — Always friendly and helpful. I’ve rarely had a complaint about a Starbucks employee. Seating — There are 28 seats in this Starbucks, with four armchairs and two good sized tables for laying out a bit of work. I like the square tables they have here. They’re at a nice height and are quite roomy, compared to the dinky round café tables I normally see at Starbucks. There are four or five tables outside on the spacious patio. It’s also bordered by some hedges to give it a bit of privacy. I don’t know if they ever use the patio heaters. Security — When I first started coming to this location, there was a homeless camp in the empty lot nearby. It’s gone now, but the Starbucks is close to downtown. Not too bad of an area but 107 Ave is close by. Take the usual precautions.
