Terrible service. It’s incredibly slow and servers tend to ignore you, even if you go up to the bar to order. I’ve had numerous occasions where I’ve tried to flag down a bartender and thy just ignore me, go help someone else or continue their personal conversations. I also judge a bar on their ability to make my favourite Gummy Bear drink, and no server here knows how to make one properly. I’d be alright with it if they just told me they don’t know how to make it or asked me to pick another drink. But, nope. They always ‘make’ one and it tastes awful, which irritates me because I am paying for swill. The crowd here is also awful. People are rude, men are insanely pushy. The amount of times I have been harassed at this bar… There is ALWAYS a group of men who stand on the dance floor and just watch girls dance, waiting for their chance to prey upon them. Now I know this doesn’t just happen at Squires, but it is particularly noticeable and problematic here. I’d appreciate bar security or whoever getting people who aren’t dancing to get off the dance floor instead of standing there being creepy. Every time I’ve been to Squires(and it’s been quite a few times spread out over years), this has been an issue and I no longer go there because of it. Moral of the story: Squires needs to stop making an atmosphere where customers feel like meat.

Oh Squires. What can I say. It’s much more like a club with a pubish atmosphere. The bartenders were kind of rude, it was almost like they purposely did not acknowledge my existence. I know I’m short guys but I’m not invisible. Poor customer service is a pet peeve for me. I am also not sure how I feel about my picture being taken without my knowledge but I can deal. Overall it wasn’t too bad though it did remind me of Union Hall with the way my friends and I were being grabbed at. I don’t particularly enjoy being groped by strangers, as why I prefer small pubs/dive bars. Unfortunately I will not return.

Horrible service waited 15 minute for a server to even acknowledge us after we switched from the bar, Bar tender was also rude and slow sitting at the end of the bar with her cell phone eating food… Slow service slow food rude staff.(also it was very dead and they did laps around us about 5 times before serving us and still no eye contact and blank faces)

Was not impressed that this place doesn’t take credit card at all. Very inconvenient to have to use one of the two incredibly slow ATMs. The dance floor is kinda small and the crowd is weird(girl wearing a horse head). Overall not my first pick, but I do like the room to sit.

Been here a time or two for drinks and dancing but went here on a Wednesday(apparently Wednesday is wing heaven — who knew?) and tried their food. Had the unlimited wings($ 7) and ordered three different kinds. Teriyaki, hottie-yaki(teriyaki+hot sauce) and honey garlic. My buddy had hottie-q, sweet chili and cajun spice. All were pretty good but wasn’t a big fan of either of the hottie-yaki/q wings. Also, had cheap pints of Kokanee($ 3). Can’t really complain as the wings were tasty, unlimited and cheap. What more can you ask for from bar food? Maybe a side of veggies?

Definitely not my scene but I could see why the barely legals would love it here — and that’s exactly what you are going to find here. For sure geared towards the younger crowd — a lot of the people I know who go there go to dance and to get drunk and sloppy. Call me crazy but I don’t get a very warm and cozy feeling from the burly cops who stand at the entrances and throughout the bar looking like they are ready to pounce any second — EEEK?! Been here once on a weekend and that was enough for me — now that I know what it is all about I can say for sure this place is not for me and I likely won’t be back — just not my thing I guess!
