Pretty good service. Never too overly busy. Friendly service in the produce. Only issue is the ready cut vegetable trays: way too small of an amount of ranch dressing supplied with it. So if you buy a veggie tray from here, also buy some extra ranch dressing to get you through it. They have great little extras. Like the little tiny flexi dressing bottles they had. Use those for BBQ sauce for chicken fingers for kids lunches. Only downside to all Sobeys is the bad points rewards. Earns you $ 5 off once in a blue moon. But this locations is good, clean and good service.

If this is a review for the Hollick Kenyon store, it is probably the worst grocery store in north Edmonton, if not Edmonton period. The Sobey’s in Namao is great, and please understand this is not a Sobey’s bash. I love Sobey’s and we shop there all the time. Why is the Hollick Kenyon store so damn bad? Walk in there with a list of 20 items, and be lucky if you can find 10 of them. It is THAT bad. It is a ghost town store. We recently went there on a Friday evening and the store was empty, as were a lot of the shelves. I have never seen so many empty shelves in a store this large before. It was comical! The bad? Empty shelves. It is bizarre shopping there. It looks like a store going out of business, not one trying to get business. Expired products. We see a lot of sale items there and wonder if they buy them from Giant Tiger off the back of a truck. The good? The liquor store has great specials.(makes shopping at the grocery store somewhat tolerablle, hah) The best? Safeway is only 5 min away so you can visit a store that is well managed and that actually has stocked shelves and product. The result? Sobey’s, PLEASE secret shop the Hollick Kenyon store. It is so bad it is surreal. If we can”t find product at your store, we go to Shoppers nearby or to Safeway at Manning. And they always have what we are looking for. It is pretty bad when a drug store carries product you don’t have. lol

Great store, new, shiny and clean — well stocked and looked after by the staff. I’m a huge fan of the deli counters, being able to pick out a selection of several different meats or cheeses for less than the pre-packaged items is great! Fresh pre-packed & prepped veggies for the grill or fruit for dessert is fantastic as well. oh and there’s sushi and many other tasty tidbits to be found here. Overall even though it’s a chain store, it still has that welcoming neighbourhood feeling that would keep me coming back for the sale items at the very least.
