While Sobeys isn’t my go to for the majority of my grocery shopping, I most definitely appreciate their meat and cheese deli areas and the customer service I receive when asking for suggestions or help in selecting items. There are usually samples available or if requested.
The store is always clean and I’ve never had to wait more than 5 minutes to check out.
They don’t charge for bags — Yay and they don’t make you use a stupid discount card to get a «club» price which makes me BONKERS! They have recently started awarding airmiles here; if you collect them, it’s worth grabing your flyer for the week to get the coupon for bonus airmiles.
Oh and you don’t need a LOONIE for a cart — Double YAY!

I love sobeys. Yeah it’s a little bit more pricey then other grocery stores, but honestly, You pay for quality and the cleanliness of the store is worth it. I avoid going to wal mart or superstore now. Love coming in the morning and smelling all the baked goods! Always end up picking something up. I can’t resist a good cinnamon bun!

Since moving here, I’ve learned that I really love this chain of stores… most have great deli counters and a huge selection of fruit and veg not typically found at a grocery store. This particular locaation is a bit older, and is undergoing a facelift, looks promising and I can’t wait to see what the final setup will be.
