This is not a bad little location. Ok, it’s a bit ghetto, the carts look like they’ve had to fend for their lives a few times, and occasionally someone is forcibly removed from(or returned to) the premises. The aisles are a bit squishy, as are the ends of the checkouts, and there are no self check outs. The deli section is smaller. Accepting all that, this Save On has a pretty unique selection of more specialty items. For example, the cheese selection is quite good, and there are a number of ethnic sections and selections(like bulk spices, bulk yoghurts, kosher) you don’t see at higher end Save Ons. The staff was also quite friendly, although one girl at a counter did mix up my order. Overall I was pleasantly surprised and will be back to this convenient location.

I love this store! It’s well organized; the produce and plants are always fresh; they have a terrific selection, great specials, and the fantastic More Rewards program.(If I shop smartly all year and take advantage of bonus specials, I can pretty much fill my Christmas list with More Rewards gifts.) The staff at this store are all friendly and competent; the pharmacy is ultra-outstanding; and the store is just large enough to have a good stock, but small enough for fast, efficient shopping. Save On’s prices, overall, are about the same as Safeway’s and a little less than Sobey’s, but they have the best specials — including meat specials — by far, and their loyalty program, More Rewards, is excellent. And did I tell you their pharmacy is great?! 8-)

Not busy when I go — nicely stocked — pricey

I used to really love this store prior to the recent renovation. Now the aisles are too close together, the produce section is smaller and they seem to be endlessly making really stinky popcorn. Also I have noticed that there is an ongoing problem with having dairy products on the shelves after their best before date. So always check before you put milk or yogurt into your cart.

I frequent this store since it’s close to home and in an area I drive by everyday. I don’t do my large grocery runs here, just a few items when needed. The store has been recently renovated and re-organized. It’s always clean and organized. I really like Save On deli depts, even though this one isn’t that extensive. I do find Save On the most expensive compared to Safeway and Superstore, but convenience plays a major factor for me in this location.
