This is by far my favourite City course. Tucked away in the river valley and with fairways thick with trees you will have a hard time believing you are in the middle of the city playing golf. This 18 hole course plays and feels like more of a private course than a public one. The fairways are narrower and the course has more trees than you would see on a typical city course. The course is challenging but but overly difficult. It is great for all levels of players as well. There aren’t that many sand traps and you won’t find one water hazard. It would have been nice if one of the holes played closer to the river and gave you a good view of the water. I usually go to this course when I have a day off during the week. I haven’t found the course overly busy during the week day but I imagine it would be pretty busy on weekends or evenings. The clubhouse is small and a bit ancient but it all adds to the feel of this course. If you are looking to golf in the within the city I would highly recommend this course over the other City courses!

Nice course, reasonable well kept at all times. It’s not fancy but it is affordable and you definitely get more than your moments worth.

Should be a gem but the Head Pro doesn’t put the money into the course to put it in pristine shape and yes he is in charge not the city. Who in the world would put their garbage right in front of the 10th tee, 1 of the nicest holes on the course and your greeted by garbage bins. I’ve always liked this course it just bothers me that it’s usually in mediocre shape.

This is one of the city’s 3 public golf courses. You can do 9 holes for $ 28 weekdays($ 32 weekends), but only after 4pm on weekends, which is kind of irritating for those of us with no golf stamina. A full 18 is $ 43 on weekdays,($ 53 weekends) + cart. This is a beautiful spot, and a relatively easy course with a few sand bunkers and no water(at least none on the front 9 — I can’t remember the back 9). You can easily forget that you are throwing distance to downtown in this jewel of the river valley. The beer cart doesn’t come by often enough in our regular time slot, but that’s ok as I don’t think it would improve my woeful skill. They don’t carry ice cream bars which would be nice on the hot hot days, but a beverage will do after the last hole. If you need an excuse for a walk and a chance to pretend your skills might improve, this is a great place to escape for a couple hours.
