I have been at Pivotal Physiotherapy in Northgate Mall barely walking! I was on the care of Megan and i can say with no doubt that i had the best of treatment! I was treated for 2 months and the treatment and very useful recommendation from my Physiotherapist were more than helpful, they healed me!!! Moreover the whole team is amazing(Joey and the girls), professional, respectful, friendly and a great sense of humour! I will give 2 and greatly recommend the place.

I sustained an injury to my lower back and physical therapy was recommended. The owner came highly recommended and the convenience of close proximity to my work sealed the deal. To his credit, the owner was friendly and appeared knowledgeable while doing his assessment on me. However, the service all fell apart when he then delegated the work to his assistants-a collection of apathetic, 20 something undergrads who cared less about care than rushing though a demonstration exercise so that they can get back to their social media. The ‘sweatshop’ atmosphere of the therapist working with 15 – 20 patients simultaneously, didn’t exactly put me at ease of getting hands on quality care. I also understood that the most important part of recovery was to do the recommended exercises prescribed by the care-provider independently. However, the generic exercises he gave me to do at home appeared to aggravate my injuries further. When I attempted to contact the therapist by phone to ask for guidance, I was told he would get back to me ASAP. He called 2 weeks after my initial call. By then, I was already involved with MOMENTUM Physiotherapy recovering nicely(See my review). To sum up, my experience was awful in that instead of receiving care for my injury, I was being processed like a piece of meat going through an assembly line, where squeezing as many people into a workspace supersedes actual care.

This is the highest recommendation that I can give for any professional that I have ever reviewed. Craig Wilson from Pivotal Physiotherapy is simply a miracle worker. Last November, I sustained a serious yoga injury where I was unable to straighten my left arm. After visits to a physician and multiple x rays and powerful drugs, the physician indicated that I may have to be referred to an orthopedic surgeon. I then set up an appointment on my own with Craig Wilson, bypassing the Alberta health care and paying the $ 100 consultation fee myself. The service I received was outstanding and healing of my injury was dramatic. First of all, the receptionist was extremely friendly and professional. I could not help but notice the international awards and outstanding qualifications of Craig that were displayed on the walls. The appointment was in excess of 2 hours. First was the examination from Craig on the injury. My arm was moved around, massaged, and an appropriate treatment plan was set up(Craig already had access to the x rays) I was then given an electro therapy treatment and monitored by one of the many staff that were highly professional, knowledgeable, and made the visit very enjoyable and personable. This was followed by a multiple array of exercises I was guided through by the staff for the next 45 minutes. I was then moved to another examining table and Craig carefully examined the injury, massaged it, and then recommended a further treatment; acupuncture. I was very surprised that not only was Craig qualified to perform this technique, but also was able to perform the treatment during this initial appointment. I was then given exercises that I had to perform during the week to strengthen my elbow. The following week I had one more treatment and the injury was healed! When I went to pay for the second treatment, I was expecting to be billed extra for the initial consultation but to my surprise found out that it was included in the consultation. I don’t know how i can ever thank Craig with Pivotal Physiotherapy enough for the amazing service that I received. But what I will do is tell everybody I know just what an amazing talented resource that we have right here in our city.

I have been coming to Pivotal Physiotherapy for the past 2 years. I find the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. My physiotherapist, Lindsay was able to help me recover from my ACL surgery last year. He displayed his special skills on my knee and got me back to normal quickly. The atmosphere of the clinic is very lighthearted and I have gotten to know with not only physiotherapist, but with other therapists and assistants as well. The only complain I would have is that on evenings, the clinic gets so busy due to popular times that I would have to wait a bit longer to get in. However, I never really waited for more than 10 minutes. I would recommend Pivotal Physiotherapy to my friends.
