I usually check their website for sales prior to going to the store. Staff is very knowledgeable — I bought a non-stick frying pan which was marked down to $ 40($ 120 original price) which is oven safe up to 350 °F, with 25 year manufacturer warranty. She told me to avoid using grape-seed oil. Investing in good quality cookware makes all the difference in cooking, especially when preparing sauces and gravies — it is also part of sustainable/economic living(buy less, use more over a period of time). It is worth investing in a pair of oven mitts from here; they are long up to the arm and heavy duty. Brand names(like Le Creuset) and their knife sets will rarely go on sale. So far, I don’t have any complaints: the quality of Paderno items are very good.

Small Paderno store located on Calgary Trail sells good quality stainless steel cookware and kitchen accessories. Paderno charges so much for its cookware because it is of superior quality. Long time ago my mom bought me a set a pans as a present, and I still use them. Good quality, heavy pans make all the difference in the kitchen as they conduct heat better, get hot faster and cook food to perfection without burning it. Since good pans last a really long time, they are a smart investment. Paderno’s cookware is sturdy and durable. Paderno offers a nice selection of bakeware and utensils such as flatware, silicone oven mitts, ladles, whisks, spatulas, bowls, scoops, and salt’n’pepper grinders. Remember this the next time you are shopping for gifts for your mom, aunt and any lady in your life who likes to cook.

Paderno is another quality kitchenware store, like Le Gnome or Call the Kettle Black. It’s rather small, but is still packed with pots and pans, wine glasses, teapots, baking ware, and all kinds of kitchen gadgets. Many of the pots and pans were on sale when I went, but they were still really expensive. If you’re on a budget like me, you might be better off buying kitchenware from the clearance section at Winners, or go somewhere like Zellers. This place is pretty high-end. They had some really neat stuff, and several different kinds of whisks. I never knew a whisk could look so fancy. I’m just cheap and use a fork. There are lots of staff on hand who are ready to help you if you need it. It’s a nice place overall, and if I could afford it I’d probably get my kitchen stuff from here. But for now I’ll stick with my clearance stuff from Winners.
