My go to place in the north when I don’t want to venture out. Perfect for a lazy Friday night date night. Been coming here for years. Very good sushi and dishes. Only downside is it takes forever to get an order if you forget to order ahead.

Good survice and good quality food. I’ve been there few times. Sushi is small pieces but very tasty. Chiken and beef teriyaki rice bowl is my favorite. I always add extra sesame sauce. big potion and amazing flavor! This place is always busy but always clean inside. Definitely I recommend it!

My favourite place to get sushi on the north side. Fast, well made, good portion sizes and reasonably priced.

This place is pretty good, lots of portions on the plate too usually some left over to take home! I get the beef teriyaki rice bowl. The sesame dressing is amazing! The first time I ate here, I did find a LONG black hair in my plate, yuck! It didn’t stop me from coming back though a second time though!

Read the reviews and thought we check this sushi place out as we live close by. Came in about an hour and a half before closing. As we were about order(waiting for the waitress to come by), another staff started to place the chairs up on the table and started to mop the floor. I’m not sure how much bleach/product he used but the whole restaurant smelt like chemicals that I wanted to throw up. We looked at several other tables(5 tables including us) and their face expression was the same as ours, I am sure that a strong chemical smell would not make any meal appetizing. The chairs were still on the table as it seems like they are closing for the night… but they were still opened for another hour or so. Waitress came by to take our order but unfortunately with the strong chemical smell coming from the mopping and its bucket, we lost our appetite, and told the waitress(somewhat older lady) that. She just scoffed and rolled her eyes. Seems like the staff just wanted to get out of there once closing time hit. Unfortunately this first impression will not make us return even tho we live so close. We will suck it up and drive to the South for good sushi.

Really great rice bowls, HUGE portions, and great sushi. My personal favorites are the chicken teryaki rice bowl and the spicy tuna rolls. This place is usually busy, but that’s because they have great food at really reasonable prices, especially for the amount you get. Sometimes there’s a bit of a wait for your order because it’s busy, but I have never waited past 20 mins for my food. I have never been disappointed coming here. Highly recommend. They also offer take out if you want.

I Enjoy coming to this place. It has good food and okay service. I normally get chicken and beef teriyaki and maybe California rolls. And I’m super good to go. Most people I go with say their sushi is not that good.

I was surprised and delighted by the quality of the sushi here, considering that it’s a fast-food joint on the north end. It isn’t really any cheaper than any other sushi restaurant in Edmonton, but the service was quick and friendly. They have take-out or seating to eat there if you so please. I’ll probably be back whenever I’m in Namao Centre, just because it’s so close and the quality is alright.

I guess this place is okay. I have to admit, when we saw this was a fast food place, we almost turned around. But, we didn’t want to be sushi snobs, so we went for it. The food is decent, not exceptional by any means. Unfortunately, I AM a true Chirashi snob, and theirs was puny. At least they tried to use their imaginations. I got a little surf clam and octopus. I’ve had better, but I’ve also had worse. Same with my friend’s bento box. Nothing special, but not awful. It didn’t really fill us up, oddly enough. We went back to the counter to order assorted sashimi and assorted sushi. In conclusion, not my first choice, but if I’m in the North end of the city, it would do in a pinch.

Not the greatest… But for the price you pay I guess you can’t complain. The sesame sauce is not bad and if you really like it you can get it from an asian grocery store.

I really like this place. The food here is fresh and delicious. I don’t know what they put in there sesame sauce but it is amazing. I usually order a beef teriyaki with an extra chicken katsu on top with an extra side is sesame sauce. It is filling, delicious and on a cold Edmonton day a wonderful treat. The sashimi and sushi here is excellent quality and professionally made. Try my recommendation, you will not be disappointed.

I’ve never had their sushi before — I go strictly for their Beef and chicken rice dish with Sesame sauce. It’s similar to the sauce Japanese village uses on their stir fry, but for $ 9! From reading the reviews prior to me writing this one it sounds like it’s pretty hit or miss. The plates the dish come on are large and very filling– larger than say a Tokyo Express rice bowl. There’s not a TON of seats available so I would be hesitant to come around the lunch rush. It’s a great place to eat if you find yourself in the Nameo area and are hungry!

This is really like an Edo Japanese style but with a real Sushi bar, this place really is a taking something a making it better. Food is awesome all time, price tag is amazing and portion size is great. I never had to wait more that 6 min ticket times during non rush hour times. I go here all the time and is one the best. The décor is average at best but I dont expect much from it, taking in consideration of what it is. My favorite sushi place! The avocado maki is the best, never found a place that can make amazing avocado maki like they can. Try the smoked salmon, or bbq eel sushi, very good

Really good teppanyaki and decent maki at a REALLY good price. It can get pretty busy during mealtimes so you might want to call ahead and do take out. I recommend the Dynamite rolls and shrimp tempura, however I haven’t been disappointed by anything on the menu after several visits. Would have rated 5 stars if not for slightly uncomfortable restaurant interior and shortage of available parking.

this is my favourite sushi in the northside. its like a fast food takeout joint but with really great food. many locals come here regularly so this place is always busy. a meal for 2 is about $ 20 unless you eat really large portions. food is healthy and i always get fresh sushi. if u become a regular the staff remember and cut u the best sashimi ever! great staff. good food. no complaints

Whenever I’m in the Namao area and I’m craving for some rice, I would go to Mt. Fuji. I like that I can get my food fast and it’s also a casual atmosphere, so I can come here before and after playing my sports. I usually order the chicken or beef teriyaki rice dish. The sesame sauce is what makes the rice taste really good. If you like some of there sauces, you can buy there homemade bottle… of sauce! For a fast food kind of Japanese restaurant, this place is somwhat affordable place to eat at. They have a nice simple selections of rolls and maki and it’s food that everyone knows. They have pictures of the food posted up on there menu board to help you decide on what you want to eat and it’s easy to make a choice quickly. They seem to have the right amount of menu items and keeping it simple has worked out for this place. The place is fairly clean, organized and you get your order pretty fast. If it’s around lunch or supper time, there will be a little of a wait but it’s not too bad. This is also a good place to do a take out. They know how to pack your food really nicely. =) It’s weird, I really like going to this place even though, there food isn’t always good and I find it a little costly. It’s inconsistant and sometimes the portion is kinda slim. I guess I always come here hoping that whatever I order will turn out fresh and delicious, and even if it didn’t, I’ve learned to accept it. I’m probably happy settling here, because there is no other competion around this area.

My former co-workers and I used to hit Mt Fuji at least once(sometimes twice) a week for lunch. First off, let me inform you that I’m in no way a connoisseur of Japanese food and I have no idea if they serve up genuine Japanese cuisine or if it’s quickly thrown together slop to sell to gullible westerners… like myself. Also I’m not a sushi guy so I can’t help you with a recommendation there. My favourite is their Teppan-yaki Beef and Chicken meal. It’s just Teriyaki beef and chicken with steamed rice and vegetables but it’s damn good. The food is always fresh, moist, and hot off the grill. It’s better than the rice bowls you can get at Tokyo Express. TE’s food is often dry and they’re stingy with the meat. Mt. Fuji’s meat-to-veggie ratio is about even and their portions are a fair size. The only real downside to Mt. Fuji is the long lines and wait times during the lunch rush. It’s often lined up outside the door(literally) and the place is stuffed inside… with soldiers and police officers. They’re right next door to a police station and CFB Edmonton is few clicks down the road. This is probably the safest eating establishment in the city. So if security is a major concern of yours while you’re eating your lunch then this place is for you. Because of the crowds I would suggest phoning in your lunch order as opposed to just showing up. It will go a lot quicker that way. If you plan on eating your food there, good luck finding a table. The establishment is too small for the amount of clientele that show up there. At least during the noon hour. Oh yeah, they have one of those annoying debit machines that prompts you to tip before you pay for your meal. They have no wait staff there. Why would I want to tip the counter chick for taking my order and calling out my number five minutes later? Change the settings on your debit machine, Mt. Fuji people. Not that you’re reading this since you remain unclaimed on Unilocal
