We promote beauty from the inside out, and encourage people to understand and respect their skin as a living organ. Our recommendations for proper skin care are based on encouraging the skin’s natural processes, while feeling rejuvenated by nature’s herbal gifts.

In addition to our wide selection of natural & organic skincare, we have a small spa which offers healthful and luxurious spa services. Please note, we may be the smallest spa with the longest waiting list – typically we book 2 months in advance.

History

Established in 2001.

A note from Kolya Naturals’ founder, Nicola…

Having trained in herbal and cultural medicine, I found the sense of «home» in health food stores. I joined Optimum Health Vitamins in 1997, which later became our family-​owned business. I loved working with natural medicines, but wanted to «get my hands dirty» in the herbs and clays and butters. I wanted to flood my senses with the plant world, and wanted to share everything I found with our customers and clients.

This is why I founded Kolya Naturals.

We are an apothecary, skincare boutique and spa that celebrates the dance of earth, water, fire and air. Quite literally. Our shelves are stocked with beautiful toners and serums (water), with dried herbs and clays (earth). Our spa treatments might have spicy cinnamon or paprika (fire) or end with ethereal singing bowls (air).

At every turn, we seek to elegantly balance the efficacy of Science with the nourishment and art of Nature.

If I’m not doing a makeup consultation, managing the day-​to-​day or slathering myself with the many creams and lotions we carry, you’ll find me on the hunt for my next «favourite product»!

My current favourites are:

Jane Iredale pressed powder — it always delights me with how well it covers without ever looking «cakey»

Eminence Eight Greens (hot) Masque — this masque clears up a breakout in no time. The paprika in it stimulates circulation and leaves a beautiful, rosy glow. It is extremely anti-​aging and great for hormonal imbalances in the skin.

Lulu Organics Hair Powder — a life-​saver for days that I’m not able to wash my hair; it absorbs oil, freshens, and adds a lot of volume!
