This is a great little local coffee shop in the Millwoods area. Not typical at all because not only do they have coffee but they have yummy Indian food on the menu. Yup. You did read that right. And, on Thursday(my personal favourite day to go in) the soup of the day is Thai Chicken. Plus, they are licensed. How can it be bad? This last time I was in I had the Potato Tikka with Chick Pea. It was quite filling with 2 potato patties. Now, these aren’t your hash brown like patties but made with potatoes, veggies and spices and then grilled. My mum makes these at home and while they weren’t quite there, they were pretty good. And, the price was so reasonable. Under $ 6 for the meal and I was full. You really can’t ask for better than that. The atmosphere here is so nice and casual. You can come, eat, enjoy. They don’t bug you, which is the sign of a great coffee shop. And, the coffee is great. You have brewed coffees along with the fancy drinks which I know I enjoy! And, the bonus, it’s local. You are supporting an Edmonton owned business. The owners actually work in the shop and are friendly people who have supported local meetings such as Arts Groups so it’s nice to be able to support them as well. Plus, there’s lots of free parking right out front! Stop by once, and you will be back again, guaranteed!

Koffee café does a bit of everything, let me confuse the matter further by saying how much I loathe shops that do this because most fail epically. Something to do with a Jack of all trades is a master of none, as my Dad liked to quote. Coffee they do sell, duh, as well as tea and the usual. They also have every Torani syrup flavor I think exists. They sell slush puppie, it’s like Slurpee but not as sweet and only makes 2 flavors in the machine. They had sour apple and watermelon. They are fully licensed, but their alcohol selection looks to be tailored to adult coffee drinks, which makes sense. I tried their Columbian dark roast coffee which was quite nice. They serve meals like chicken and chick pea curry, veggie or beef samosa, potato tikka, spring rolls, etc. The Indian fare was good and I thoroughly enjoyed it. The chick pea curry was delectable, I could have eaten a pound of that stuff with nothing more than a fork and some bread. I enjoyed a generous amount of carrot cake too, which was nice to finish off a light meal. They offer 2 machines with internet service at a fair price, and it’s a quarter to print a page. WiFi is free. I usually hate shops that try to be everything and excel at nothing, but… this café manages to somehow, miraculously, pull off doing a bit of everything fairly well. I’m breaking a personal rule by rating this café/restaurant/bar/? above 4 stars, but they get 5 from me simply because they didn’t try to do too much of everything. They offer a few meals, only 2 internet café machines, good coffee and tea, nice snacks, plenty of comfortable seating alternatives to tables and chairs if you desire, décor that’s at least consistent of not quaint. They welcome meetings of various groups and associations like the Edmonton Arts Council that brought me here in the first place, but other groups have called this place home. The owners were present to serve what they promised, food and drink. They weren’t intrusive in any way imaginable. Food was present, quickly restocked, maintained and kept fresh as needed. Quality was really very good and service was excellent. I absolutely adore a place that can accommodate special circumstances easily and deliver exactly what you need seamlessly. For this, they get 5 stars because I know how hard it is to find a place that can execute special requests that should be easy to do even though they are not simple. Kudos to Koffee café for a job well-done, you’ve made a customer out of me forever!

I absolutely LOVE this café! The owners are extremely nice and sweet. always friendly. I love riding bikes around in the summer on a hot summer day and stopping for a cool smoothie or frapuccino. And they have icecold beer which is always a bonus. They have some of the COMFIEST couches I’ve ever sat on. its an awesome relaxed atmosphere. My favorite thing though is they’re all day breakfast. is so delicious i would never bother going to any all day chain breakfast. two eggs, four toast, hashbrowns, and THEBESTBACON you have ever tasted. i guarantee it. the owner told me that he makes it fresh daily. and seriously it shows. did i mention this is all under 6bucks? I highly recommend this place if you live on the southside!

Ended up here at lunch time while i was working on a South Side client. Good little café, with lots of variety for lunch! The sandwich I had was well proportioned and soup was delicious. I’m definitely a fan of this place and the apple cider I had was delicious as well. I would recommend this place for lunch as they were pretty quick! The prices were a little high but the food was really good!

My significant other introduced me to this café. The price is right; sandwiches are fresh and delicious, plus the soups are amazing! I love their samosas for light fare. It’s one of our favourite places for all-day breakfast. $ 5 for home-stead breakkie(eggs, bacon/sausage, tater tots and toast — caution: big portions!) The owners are very friendly and always smiling.

So you’re stuck going to Mill Woods because it’s the only place you can see a doctor or get some sort of medical imaging done? Well if you need a bite to eat and a coffee, you could do worse than the Koffee Café. While the ambience is very much that of a corner store — they sell cigarettes, candy, and random trinkets. I like cozy ambience with my $ 4 hot drinks. They also make all sorts of fancy coffees, chai lattes, and more. Sarah thought her white chocolate latte was a little odd tasting, but she drank it all enthusiastically. For lunch, I enjoyed the Butter Chicken with Naan, but the Naan wasn’t fluffy or soft. But I enjoyed my Butter Chicken — it’s a tough dish to mess up, especially if the spices are strong enough. And this butter chicken was well spiced. Sarah opted for a chickpea curry served with what is essentially samosa filling on the side. Sarah found the curry to be delicious, but a little spicy for her tastes. I should note that the café mentioned that our dishes would be ready in 5 minutes, when they actually took 15 minutes. As we had about 30 minutes to make the bus back to go home, we were a bit rushed while eating. Our drinks also took about 10 minutes to be ready. Thankfully, the friendly owners of the café gave us paper cups to pour the drinks into and we could enjoy them on the bus. If I ever find myself in Mill Woods again around lunchtime, I’d like to try their samosas or their soups.

I have been coming here for a few years now and this place beats so many café’s in town it isn’t funny. I can’t believe they aren’t busier than Starbucks. First off, everything is always super fresh and high quality: meat, salads, coffees, etc. They have a breakfast for $ 5 that is huge and always filling. And they have lattes, coffees, milkshakes, smoothies that can easily compete with the likes of the chains but without the ripoff price tags. They also sell smokes and candies if you want something to go. Also they have the best chai latte that makes Starbucks and Second Cup ones taste like crap. Anyways, I can’t say enough good things, this café has such good service that you would be silly at least not to try it. It is one of those little hidden secrets.

I was skeptical about having a drink here but it the place turned out to be okay. Koffee Café is only about a street away from my place, so I figured paying it a visit wasn’t such a big deal. There’s nothing really fancy about this café, it’s definitely not up with the likes of Starbucks and all that. It’s a no frills experience. I ordered hot chocolate, since I don’t drink coffee often, and it was satisfying. The really great thing about this place is that it was free Wi-fi. So if you ever need wi-fi for any reason, and you’re around 28th Ave, stop by.
