The staff here are incredibly friendly. I frantically ran in around 4:30 one day because my phone died that morning. Wouldn’t turn on. LED would not turn on to indicate the charger was plugged in. Just… nothing. The employee that helped me when I brought it in was Emile. After checking a couple of things, he confirmed my fear… it was toast. BUT… I only got it back in August 2015 so it was still on Manufacturer’s warranty! WOOHOO! Emile explained how it would work… they send it off to Ontario. If there are any costs associated with the repair, Samsung would call the Telus store and let them know, and then Telus would call me to let me know. He also gave me a head’s up that no matter what was wrong with the phone, it would come back completely wiped clean. Which sucked, but it was my own fault for not backing everything up. He set me up with a loaner phone and helped me set it up. I dropped the phone off with them on Thursday, January 21st. On Saturday, January 30th, I got a call from the store stating that the phone was repaired and ready for pickup! I wasn’t expecting it to be ready so quickly :) I went in to pick it up and dealt with another employee named Curtis. He was just as friendly and informative as Emile. He helped me get my phone set up, and transfered things from my loaner phone to my repaired phone. He also set it up so that any contacts I added were automatically backed up to google for me. Once everything was cancelled, he wiped the loaner phone in front of me so that I could see that it had been done. I’ve visited this location in the past to purchase new equipment as well and have always encountered friendly & helpful staff.

The last time I went in here, I used to sales department, not the service department. I found that the sales department was just like any other telus store: commission driven sales associates who will do whatever they need to to have a sale. I came in here with my boyfriend and he bought an iPhone. I wanted to get a new phone but telus wouldn’t give on a mid contract offer. The salesperson told me to call them tomorrow and they would budge. She finished by asking if we would come after 12pm the next day because that was when she started and she would really love to help us. Yea, you would really love the commission off of us. A day later, my jealousy took over and I decided I needed an iPhone too. I went into telus and I stood in line for 30 minutes while I watched 3 salespeople help out customers. One of the salespeople ended up dashing out after helping his customer. I thought it was ridiculous that he wouldn’t stay to hep out the long and impatient line that had formed. I was really unimpressed with the sales side of this Edmonton Cellular. I was actually annoyed that I ended up giving the sale to that women who had helped me before. She hadn’t even really done much. My boyfriend convinced me to get the iPhone more than the salesperson did! Enjoy your undeserved commission.
