I, honestly, cannot praise this place enough! Their tea is beyond superb and is so much better than other teas, the staff makes you feel so welcome and is willing to recommend new teas when you’re looking to try something new, and there are great accommodations when you’re a Frequent Steeper. I highly recommend this place, you won’t regret it!

I went on a weekday afternoon to exchange tea I had received. There was about 5 people standing by the counter and 2 staff helping them. Two more staff came and one of them starting talking to a group of people that were helped by another staff. The other staff went to stock the shelves. I had a feeling I would be waiting for a while and it’s confusing as there’s no clear line up area. The guy stocking the shelf asked if I needed help and I told him why I was there. One of the staff was now available to help me. I told her that I wanted to exchange the tea I had for another kind. She wasn’t sure how to do this but she got help right away from her colleague. I picked out the new tea I wanted and she put it in a new tin, I paid the difference, and was on my way. I wouldn’t like coming here if it was busy and if I was in a rush. But once you get help, it’s efficient. I like how the teas are organized and clearly labelled, and that you can smell the scent before buying. If you buy tea for a gift and get a gift card, it’s easy to exchange.

While I will probably never give up my Tim Hortons addiction David’s Tea has taken a good chunk out of the cash I usually spend there. The selection when you first walk in can feel a little overwhelming with a whole wall of tea in front of you there is always helpful staff there to give you a hand. If you are not all that experienced with tea like myself there is often samples being handed out and staff will gladly pull any of the tins off the wall for you so you can give it a sniff and get better acquainted. I stop in mostly to get single cups made and I have really come to enjoy their new tea pop. It has all the fizz of soda which I love without all extra added sugar and calories. What I don’t like about this location is lack of tables in store to sit down and enjoy your drink. I also think some of their accessories are a little pricey. There was a travel container for iced tea I somewhat fancied but it was over ten dollars and I think it had more to do with the David’s Tea name then the actual quality of the product. The bulk tea’s and in store made drinks however are very reasonable and well worth a trip into David’s.

I love David’s Tea, i love how they have different varieties that you can choose from & you can taste them first before you buy them. Not only do they sell tea(hot/cold) but they also sell tea accessories. The hot tea’s are always drinkable whenever i get them, they’re not super boiling hot(that you can’t even hold the cup) When i’m there, the associates are always helpful & cheerful. When i ask what’s a good tea, they recommend something they like & not like«i don’t know — let me ask ». They are always stocked & organized.

I was so excited when I found out that a David’s Tea opened up downtown. I have no complaints with the West Ed and Southgate locations(other than the fact that they’re always pretty busy) but this location is by far my favorite for all my tea needs. The shop itself is quite small but has always been well stocked when I’ve visited and very clean/organized. Every time I’ve been in, I’ve been helped by a different person and they’ve always been super friendly, knowledgable and approachable. One thing I like about David’s Tea is the fact that you can buy tea by weight, so you can buy it in bulk or buy just a little to try. I feel that the prices are fairly reasonable for the quality of tea that you get, the merchandise is made very well(and gorgeous!) and the customer service is super great and consistent from store to store. Also — Canadian business! Some of my favorites: Toasted Walnut(green tea), Forever Nuts(herbal) and Toasted Marshmallow(black).

Well I have to say that I took my sweet time coming down to try this latest Davids. I just never thought that it could be as good as my beloved Southgate Davids Tea… I stand corrected! It is just fabulous. The tea of course is excellent, but the small shop feels cozy and quaint. Being in City Centre right on the pedway should be packed, but no, our DT is fairly quite during the day. So… the staff was small, 3 of them, but all so friendly, very well versed in the teas that they carry, fun and absolutely fabulous! They showed me the new Tea Of The Month, shared their faves with me and told me all about the Teal Tea Lounge they are doing for the #Unignorable ovarian cancer champagne — kudos to David for getting involved with such a worthy cause! All in all, I was impressed and those odd times a month that I am in City Centre, I will come and grab a cup and say hi to the lovely staff. But… I’ll prob still be buying my bulk at Southgate! Pinkies Up!

This David’s Tea location is smaller than the Southgate one, but it still has excellent variety. The staff are nice and there are almost always free samples! I love that David’s tea always has new teas for the season we’re in(or supposed to be in … Edmonton). The spring teas are wonderfully fragrant and a little on the sweeter side. A booklet with over 100 teas was also included in my bag after purchase and it was nice to flip through when I got home! I also love the little sample pack they have(2 for $ 5) although I wish that they had a few more flavours in these packs, I would buy so many more! As always I’m a David’s Tea enthusiast!

The service here is great: personnel strive to offer a custom experience so that you walk away with product(s) that you will use. I purchased a beautiful glass cup with a strainer and lid for $ 19.00 plus five packets of specialized teas one of which I tried last night, the Cherry Cola Black tea that was absolutely amazing! My entire purchase came to just over $ 50.00(enough tea for probably a couple of months — but this is so individual as to strength and consumption, etc., so it is difficult to gauge how long it will last). Everything in this store seems to be very well thought out(cups, strainers, kettles, tea pots, etc.,) for the market. Even though the store is small, it is not stocked with useless trinkets and junk, just good and well made stuff that you can actually see yourself using. You can buy the loose teas by grams or by $$$, so if you get 2 bucks worth, they will weigh out a $ 2.00 pouch for you. I was so pleased with my experience here and the quality of the merchandise and the courteous staff that I will sure to be returning when my teas evaporate!

Well I guess I am the first to review the newly opened David’s Tea at City Centre. I am thrilled that they opened a new location as their teas are great. They have a great variety of teas in a variety of leaves/plants. You can choose to select teas from behind the counter or from their pre-made boxes which includes usually 3 – 12 different kinds of teas. The one tiny complaint I have is that not all their teas can be purchased in store or are in their tea booklet, they are all online however. Their prices are very reasonable and competitive. The staff is friendly and aren’t shy to let you try a tea or sniff the tea LOL. If you are looking for quality tea and are at city centre, skip Tea Desire and walk over the pedway to David’s Tea.
