Clareview Bottle Depot

Quick, efficient and accurate. Can’t go wrong with those qualities in a bottle depot. There’s a convenient drive thru which is great if you have a lot of bottles. But if the drive thru line is long, going inside is usually quicker.

I’ve been going to this bottle depot for about the past six years, since I moved somewhat nearby. Sure, a bottle depot is a bottle depot is a bottle depot, but this one is better.
First, and most importantly, they never short change me. I used to sort my bottles and count them to make sure I wasn’t getting ripped off, but there’s no need for that here. It just never happens.
Basically the same staff have been working here as long as I’ve been going there and probably longer, and they are very efficient. I was there today and had four whole shopping carts full of bottles, and it only took him about 20 minutes to sort through them all. (No, I didn’t steal the shopping carts from Costco, they’re already there. I swear.) There are usually lots of people here, but it goes by as fast as it can. I went today (Sunday) at 10:30am not realizing they didn’t open until 11am, but it’s a good thing I got there early. By the time 11am rolled around, there were about six other people lined up behind me!
I like the drive-​through option. It is definitely preferred if you go on a crappy day weather wise. Note, the drive-​through isn’t open on Sundays, but the regular walk-​in counter is. There are two counters in the drive-​through and four inside.

My husband has been going to the Clareview bottle depot since he was a child and we continue to go to the same one today.
They are open 7 days a week and have both walk-​in service and a drive through area with two window bays — AWESOME for when you have your little ones with you in the car or when you have SO many bags that you don’t want to have to park and bring them in one by one!
They have always been efficient and polite. They have a little sink station on the inside where you can wash your hands if you don’t like getting sticky from dumping your bags (which I do… my husband likes to tease me about that).
I also think this particular location is kept spectacularly clean! A big plus and a reason we continue to come to this location!
And besides, recycling makes you feel good! So go out there and do it! And while you’re at it, go to the Clareview Bottle Depot! And when you’re done… go out to lunch or dinner and treat yourself with the money you got back!
