The in-laws took us here. We got the dinner for 6. It was so much food, more like dinner for 8! Food: 3⁄3. Delicious, and a great amount. Service: 2⁄2. Couldn’t get better. Super fast even though it was a busy Saturday night. One note, they are more of a delivery/take-out place, and only have seating for about 10 people.

Pretty inexpensive for what you get; quality ingredients and they don’t cheap out on quantities either. The staff is super friendly and always manage to get us our order quicker than anticipated!

The shrimp fried rice was bland and overcooked, I ended up throwing it out altogether. I don’t know what the rest of the menu would taste like, but if they couldn’t even make simple fried rice properly, I don’t have much faith in the rest of the menu. I wouldn’t recommend it…

Had a number of people over and thought we would order some Chinese cuisine. It was the closest to our place. Saturday night so food took a bit of time but was relatively fast. Some of the food was ok but the vast majority was bland, cold or inconsumable. I would give them another shot, but not buy as much at one time to confirm if that was an off night or their standard.

Ordered a dinner meal with fried shrimp, fried rice and chicken chow mien for $ 13. I got it delivered and expected it quickly as the place is literally a kilometre away. 1 hour later I’m getting a call that they have no idea where my house is. Eventually after standing barefoot in the side of the road and biking down the car I finally got my food. It totaled about $ 20 for one entrée and delivery and was cold by the time I got it. The fried rice wasn’t thoroughly fried and was mostly still normal white rice. The chicken chow mein was undercooked and the chicken was pink. The portion sizes were extremely small and I can’t believe I paid $ 20 for that.

Haven’t tried any Chinese food place in Edmonton yet after being here 3 years we thought we would give it a shot. First place was a bust(amazing wok). On our way home we spotted chan can wok. Food service was good staff were friendly and the prices were reasonable. Our food smelt so good on drive home I wanted to pull over and have some. All our dishes were a good portion size and well packed. The only thing that that had an off taste was the sauce for the almond soo guy it had a more smoky than almond taste. Other then that I would recommend this establishment.

My wife and I stopped in for some wonton soup for a quick lunch. It was reasonably well prepared, decent flavour and they did not skimp on ingredients. The service was quick and friendly. I will certainly go back to try other menu items and give a more in depth review. Certainly worth a try!

Awesome for an easy dinner. We went to dinner and sat in. The restaurant only has four tables but it was rad none the less. The guy running the front restarted a movie on the tv for us and it was lovely like having dinner on the couch at home. Super chill. Awesome food and wonderful friendly service. We will be back and this just replaced our order in regular.

South Edmonton’s best Chinese! Small place but great for pick up! This is a mom and pop shop, but provides great quality of food, the best I have had in Edmonton for awhile. There is plenty to choose from and it’s always fresh. Very quick and conveniently located beside the grocery store and liquor store.

A nice change from the usual greasy chinese food joints. Its small in side(only 5 or 6 tables) but the food and service make up for it. Typical chinese restaurant prices but the food is second to none. Will definitely be back.

The name says it all! Chan can wok, deadly good food every time. Fresh, quick, friendly, and delicious. What more can you ask for from a 50 sqft restaurant.

Love their food. We found it through online reviews and Chan Can Wok did not disappoint! When I told the staff member that when I picked up the food he joked that he wrote all the reviews himself hahaha We had a good laugh. But seriously, service is excellent and the food is among the best in town. Highly recommended!

I have tried my share of chinese food places over the years, different cities, food courts, etc. I’m lucky that this place is close to me as I absolutely love their food. Most food court chinese foods make me sick shortly after I eat them but I’ve been ordering from this place on average three or four times a month now for about three years and they are always spot on. We have eaten both in the restaurant and taken out and have always gotten personable and friendly service. My husband has a finicky stomach but can eat this food just fine as well. Both of us are very into fitness and find their food to taste«cleaner» than other chinese places;it’s my favorite cheat meal! Prices are great for the amount of food you get, I always order the meal for two. I plan on going here for many more years to come!

Our family eats here whenever we have Chinese food. Very consistent from the phone call to the food. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone

Despite it being closest to our house, we avoid this restaurant. We’ve had a few mediocre experiences, but when we received a meal with a rock(yes, a ROCK!) in it, we decided to talk to them about it. Initially, we were offered a $ 5 discount on the next time we came in. Really? $ 5? We gave them one more try and were equally unimpressed. We had saved the rock and brought it in to them… they comp’d this meal… but still. Their customer service seems to be great, as long as you’re dealing with the University-aged man that often runs the till area. Their food, on the other hand, leaves much to be desired.

I ordered take-out from here the other day — the woman on the phone was very fast and polite. I must say they have a pretty large menu for such a tiny little restaurant! Their online menu was really helpful and well put together. I ordered the dinner for two [Starter Wonton Soup, Chicken Fried Rice, Crispy Ginger Beef, Mixed Vegetables & Chicken Chow Mein. And I added a separate side of hot & sour soup.] which came to $ 31.00. Delivery was free because the order was over $ 30! Yay! Only 20 minutes went by and the delivery guy was at my door step! I loves me some fast delivery. He was nice and friendly too. The food portions were not overly huge; just enough to split between two. [That’s what we asked for, right? No complaints here.] It was very delicious! You could tell it was made a little different because it wasn’t all that greasy and they weren’t overzealous with the salt. I guess you could say it had a more natural taste. I was over all very satisfied by the price, service, and taste of the food. I will definitely be ordering from Chan Can Wok again soon!

Quick lunch grab. Don’t expect much. The stars goes to the nice lady serving me, not the food… which was neh, taste like food court.

Ordered pick-up and the food was thoroughly disappointing. The lemon chicken and ginger chicken were as tough as leather. The teriyaki beef was bland and almost indistinguishable from the beef and vegetables. We ended up throwing out the leftovers.
