Their ham and egg sandwich is delicious and cheap. And their sriracha/mayo sauce is crazy-good. Sometimes takes awhile to actually get anything, as it’s usually just one person working, but it’s delicious once you get it.

Bar Teca saves my life when Cookies by George closes at odd hours. I enjoy their frozen yogurt and am happy to report that they have flavoured coffee creamers. There aren’t very many places I will visit in HUB so the fact that I will consider this place says something. Bar Teca has stamp cards for frequent visitors which is a great way to save money as a student!

This is the only place I’ll buy coffee in HUB Mall. It’s $ 1.50 for any size vessel if you bring your own. I’ve only been brave enough to push the limits with my TARDIS mug(and while it doesn’t live up to the remarkable properties of the original, it is pretty large). If you didn’t bring your own, it’s an extra 30 cents for a large. Though not advertised, Bar Teca will supply your event with insulated carafes filled with coffee, cups and lids, and accoutrements for a reasonable price. You have to pick up and drop off yourself, but it’s a fairly convenient process if you’re anywhere in the vicinity of HUB. The frozen yogurt is freakin’ delicious, particularly the peach and strawberry. Don’t bother getting a large – there’s too little difference in size between it and a medium to matter. They appear to have a large selection of hot and bubble teas and paninis, but I can’t speak to them. Coffee and yogurt are where it’s at.

This unassuming booth in HUB Mall has some of the most inexpensive coffee in the area, but no one seems to know it! There isn’t usually a line-up because BT is more well-known for its paninis and frozen yogurt, and the university crowd is usually more coffee-hungry than anything. If you aren’t a coffee guy/gal, then it’s definitely worth stopping by for a frozen yogurt. Although the flavours are limited, it’s still a sweet treat that you won’t find anywhere else on campus. I love that they top off your froyo with a chocolate wafer-chip-thing, too!

I haven’t tried the frozen yogurt from Bar Teca, but I did try out their grilled sandwiches and I was satisfied. They weren’t the most filling, and were a bit flaky, but they did taste pretty good. The next time I come here I’ll be sure to get the frozen yogurt that everyone seems to be raving about.

Many people have told me about the frozen yogurt at Bar Teca, but for some reason I have been reluctant to go. I’m not sure if I was simply scared to try something from this place or if it was sheer laziness. I don’t think it was the latter because I walked past it all the time. One day I eventually decided to live a little and went for it. I am glad I did. The frozen yogurt was really good. Just as good as people made it sound. They don’t have many flavours though which was kind of a bummer, but I can’t complain. They don’t only serve frozen yogurt, they have a bunch of other stuff that I have never tried and probably will never try. Who knows. I just might decide to take a chance again.

Bar Teca is my stop for frozen yogurt when I’m on campus. It’s very good; fresh and cold, not too sweet. It’s almost like Yogun Fruz at the mall, only they don’t have as many flavours to choose from. This is another small stop-and-go place at HUB mall on the university campus, nothing fancy. They have grilled sandwiches, coffee, and bubbletea here too, although I haven’t had any of these, so I can’t vouch for them. Decent prices for a small lunch or snack though. You can just get a sandwich or smoothie and head on up to one of the upper level lounges to relax or study.
