Specialties

We specialize in lingerie, including a variety of corsets, baby dolls, and long gowns. We also have a very extensive selection of DIVA (40 – 50 ribcage or 1X-6X). We cater to all sexual preferences. Our shoes and boots range from sizes 6 — 16. We also carry novelty items in our Discreet Desires armoires; we are not a «Sex» store, but a boutique with accessories. For the gentleman we have a select variety of men’s underwear. We host in-store parties on Saturday evenings, or a Sunday afternoon for a fun ladies night out, or a great idea for Bridal Showers.

History

Established in 2000.

Alluring Intimates started out as a home based business where I did home parties. After two years I decided to open a boutique. I have been at my present location for 13 years.

Sandy has an extensive knowledge of lingerie, toys and all that is sexual. She has a very bubbly personality and is very outgoing. Loves to meet all her customers, regular and new, and loves to help them feel sexy.

Sandy is in the store Tuesday through Friday and the occasional Saturday.

Alluring Intimates is a cute little adult store located on the west side of the city close to WEM. They carry a selection of toys and lube but the bulk of the store is dedicated to sexy outfits. Whether your just starting to explore your naughty side or consider yourself wild and kinky there is something here for everybody regardless of your age, size, or price range. I was actually really surprised with how good the sales were here. I don’t spend alot of time looking at outfits when I am in one of these stores because they are usually so pricey but you could actually walk out of here with something nice from one of their sale racks for around twenty dollars. The store is a little on the small side and I did find the closeness of racks to one another a little difficult to deal with when trying to move past someone but it’s a small price to pay to be able to come and shop in such a clean and welcoming environment. If your out on the west side it’s well worth your time.

My friend and I went to this boutique to check out the products. It was an early Saturday morning and the store already had one customer and a few more came in while we were there. The sales associate was helpful and friendly. If someone was a shy about asking questions, she was more than happy to explain and put a person at ease. She could make recommendations on products too. If you purchase a product that need batteries, they will even supply them!
The store has lingerie for women in all different sizes. They had sales racks for $ 5 – 35 for women’s lingerie, men’s underwear, and swimwear. I saw bathing suits in larger sizes, and bikinis for only $ 5! Also saw a lovely flowy robe for $ 30. There are a few change rooms too.
Good place to go if you are looking for toys, shoes, or clothes for yourself, friend, or for a bridal shower.

Sandy and her team at Alluring Intimates are amazing!
They make a point of making customers feel welcome when they walk in, always offering a coffee or water while you shop.
The store has a great selection of clothing, which is what fills most of the store. They keep all of the toys in one section of the store, which I think also helps with the comfort level of new shoppers.
I purchased a corset for my sister’s stagette, and then when I finally showed it to her it was too small. Sandy agreed to let us exchange it, and when I brought my sister in to the store Sandy spent the time to fit the right size properly.

I met Sandy, the owner of Alluring Intimates, when I was working on a lingerie spread for the Edmonton Sun. She and I hit it off immediately and I found working with her to be a delight. She’s very friendly, professional and frank about the industry she works in. She is most interested in offering variety and high quality products to all people, whatever their age, gender, size or orientation. At Alluring Intimates you can choose from a great range of intimacy products: toys, lubes, accessories, lingerie for him and her. It’s a fun shop to browse through, and Sandy makes the experience fun and informative. My impression was she meets people wherever they’re at — a good quality to have in business.

This was the first time I visited an adult store during the Halloween season! It was really cool!
Sadly, I have no Halloween plans and am not even sure if my boyfriend will be around for it. No worries! It’s still a sex shop, right? They have a great selection of lingerie for people of all sizes and tastes.
When I walked in, I was offered coffee or water. I went for the coffee and sipped away as I browsed the store. The staff were great — very helpful and knowledgeable.
The majority of the store is clothing — whether it’s Halloween or not. There are two purple cupboards full of toys. They have some games and novelty items. At the display case/checkout, they have a selection of massage oils and lubes.
It’s a really neat store and kind of classy — it doesn’t make you feel like a total pervert when you walk in.
