We came here for a birthday with about 30 people and the service was amazing. They were very attentive, no one was ever without a drink and of course the food was great — as always. Get the lettuce wraps!

I’m a regular here. Today I ordered the Cajun chicken sandwich on gluten free bread because I’ve read it’s a healthier option, with a side of yam fries. It comes with aged cheddar, lettuce, tomato. The tomato looked very genetically modified and had a weird bland taste so I removed it from my sandwich. The reason why I didn’t give Cactus 5 stars is because they don’t really have anything that really hits the spot for me and has me ordering or wanting to try more. I’ve pretty much have had everything on their menu. Regardless this place is really good. I’d give it a B+ in terms of satisfaction. The service here is always great, I can’t complain about that. It’s always clean, nice, and quiet. The perfect place to catch up or chat with colleagues.

I had visited this CC location before and it was not the best, so I thought I would try it again. This time it was much better! Service was very good, and my server, Matthew was very attentive and professional. I ordered a create your own 7oz filet mignon. It was a little bit undercooked to my liking, but not enough to warrant sending it back to cook longer. It was extremely tender and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were excellent as well. I enjoy coming to the Cactus Club Restaurants. They are always consistently good, and the food well above average. This Delta location has a nice atmosphere and is quite spacious and welcoming.

I visit Cactus Club when my craving for white food hits me because generally they have very good burgers and high quality of salads. This Cactus Club actually have extraordinary service! I was impressed by a buss boy who greeted us and offered us beverages because our server was busy. We did not even wait for that long at our table. Our server, Caroline was also very professional and knowledgeable. She could describe the entrees and made it sound very mouth watering. Talking about the food, we ordered Rob’s Flatbread and it was so good! The caramelized onions and feta cheese on the fluffy but crispy flat bread all blended so well together. The quinoa salad was also very high quality with very fresh ingredients. The ambiance was also pleasant and sweet. This is definitely one of the better Cactus Club that I have been to!

Despite Cactus being a relatively pricey place(compared to other places with the same quality of food), i do enjoy coming here. My favorite item from the menu is the Prawn Spaghettini, I don’t like to experiment with food, so that’s my standard order every time i come here and I’ve never been disappointed. Also, for the record, they make one of the best Martini’s i’ve tasted, exactly the way you want it.

Disappointing. Service very slow, and the steak I ordered rare came out blue(which I prefer anyway…) veg burger the table ordered was ordinary. For the price I had hoped for more, should have gone to a small business with a creative chef.

Our first time here at Cactus Club and I’m really impressed with the service and food quality. The atmosphere is really calm & fun at the same time. The staffs all look like models and they’re all very friendly as well. This place is on the pricey side, but it’s because of the service and food quality. You really get what you paid for and it’s really worth it. For our appetizer, we’ve ordered Calamari, Dry Ribs, and Spicy Chicken. The Calamari was really yummy. It is lightly breaded and it’s mixed with fried spicy banana peppers and jalapeños. It’s really good. The portion size is big, too. It also comes with two sides of dipping sauce. Chipotle Aioli and Tzatziki. The Dry Ribs was really yummy as well. It has crushed sea salt and white & black pepper flakes with dried parsley for garnish. The Dry Ribs didn’t come with any dipping sauce though. For the Spicy Chicken, it’s actually looks like an asian-style appetizer. It comes with deep fried wonton wraps and the chicken chunks are deep fried and battered. It’s in this sweet & sour sauce, like the one you use for spring rolls. It’s garnished with lots of chives which I think adds a little kick to the flavour. For our main, we ordered Hunter Chicken and Cheddar Bacon Burger. For the Hunter Chicken, the chicken tasted like it was chargrilled. It comes with portobello and shiitake mushrooms as well served on top of green beans in a wine reduction sauce. It was really good, however, the chicken skin was chewy and wasn’t crispy. I’m not sure if it was supposed to be cooked that way. The Cheddar Bacon Burger was really good as well. Comes with fries and ketchup dip. All in all, we enjoyed our visit here and will definitely come back to try out other options in their menu.

Came here for a birthday gathering. Wasn’t able to get a reservation ahead of time, but we were seated right away when we did get here which was awesome! Ambiance is dim lighting with fairly loud music. We got seated in the corner table so there was more light available. Started with edamame, calamari, and yam fries. The edamame and yam fries were excellent, as were the calamari(according to my meat consuming friends). A bit excess on the crumbles at the bottom of the calamari plate though, so heads up about that. For dinner, I ordered a Garden Burger — which was delicious. My friends ordered ribs, cajun steak — blue rare, and peppercorn steak. They said everything was great and the blue rare steak was actually done well! Compliments to the chef! Overall, great visit!

Aside from the good food, I’m usually not a huge fan of these Milestones-type restaurants. Ironic because I’m always eating at one of them. Cactus Club is actually one of my least favourites. However, I just can’t help but give a good review because of the great service I received recently with my friends on a girls night out. Our server, Olivia, was very friendly. From my experience, usually it’s male servers who are nicer to female customers while the female servers are standoff-ish, but our Olivia was awesome! She was extremely helpful, gave great suggestions, and even had real conversations with us. She also checked up on us regularly but not in that annoying way that some servers do. It was a really busy night but she still gave exceptional service. She definitely deserved a huge tip. The food was good too, as per usual. Of course price-y, but I didn’t expect it any other way. I got the Chicken Cajun Sandwich with fries on the side and it was very good. The chicken was moist inside and the Cajun provided a nice kick to the flavour without overpowering the whole course. The fries were crisp on the outside and soft in the inside, and came out hot from the fryer; they were also already salted which is actually really nice because lately, more and more places aren’t salting their fries. It’s really annoying when you have to salt fries in your plate that have already been out of the fryer for more than 1 minute– it just does not distribute evenly. We ordered calamari to go because Cactus makes great calamari.

Friendly service; fajita was mostly good but so-so tortilla shells and cheap cheese; bar server did not know what IPA beer was, but she was friendly. 1 large and 1 small glass of wine came to $ 23 which is expensive for table wine — better to buy a bottle and take home extra I suppose. Would have been 3 stars but lowered to 2 stars due to average quality in relation to price. Overall an ordinary experience. UPDATE. Very nice follow-up from customer service to my review. I want to raise the star by one because of the follow-up. I also want to point out that the English Bay and Waterfront Cactus Club locations have been very good.

Why oh why do I come here. Food is always mediocre at best. Consistently mediocre. So at least they are consistent. So many restaurants with much better food. Overpriced overhyped underwhelming.

They told us our wait would be 15 minutes. ended up being an hour. Very loud inside on weekends during peak hours. Hard to have a normal conversation. Our server claimed she was busy when he came to give us the bill but we only saw her once aside from taking our food & drink orders. Most of the tables in our area were empty toward the end so I’m not sure who she was tending to. Prices are on the steeper side. Food is good but 9 $ for yam fries, 24 $ for Thai curry with seafood and 9 $ for a double rum and coke is a bit higher than you’d expect for SURREY.

Consistency is the mark of a restaurant that knows they’re good. Why,…‘cos if it works and people order it time and time again… there’s a reason. When it sucks, that message also reverberates often quietly & slowly as you lose your following. After the manager personally welcomed us at our table, Joyce served our bevies, the coffee was robust, dark and fresh each cup. The Belini was a fresh, cheeky libation that would really cool ya off in the hot summer heat if there was any that is… I digress… Cactus Club again wins me over with their gently deep-fried scrumpdillyious Calamari appy adorned with hot jalepenos and peppers bursting with the woody notes of the oak barrel they were fermented in… lip smackin’ indeed! The Calamari expoded with the subtle taste of the sea lightly breaded and fried just until crispy then served hot and fresh. Love it, eat it every visit. It’s garnished with fresh, creamy dill dip that works so well with this appy. The Chipotle dip was so-so, unmemorable, more of a nuisance than an enhancement for me. Second appy was the Louisiana wings. Fried to perfection then just enough mouth watering Lousiana sauce to create some heat to accompany the tender yet crispy wings flavour. Short ribs were made for sandwiches weren’t they? They were served on a long bun with a Ceasar salad that was decent but lacked the creamy salty dressing we all love. We had to ask for extra dressing which was swiftly brought to our table, with a smile and apology,.no big whoop. The Blackened Creole chicken was on the mark and served with still crunchy, earthy Asparagus nestled on a fluffy, satisfying pillow of mash. The compound cajun/creole butter didn’t quite speak to the flavours which it was supposed to lend itself to and was merely an after thought left behind to contemplate it’s worthiness…(poor butter…) I felt bad for the butter, It was trying so hard to help, but alas, realizing it was really just butter with spices, it receded within itself and retired, alone and broken hearted… Tsk, tsk… Joyce ‘s service was genuinely sweet, casual and attentive. At no point did we feel rushed even though the patrons were in wait mode for a table as the Cactus club was packed to the rustic yet trendy rafters. Finish your evening with a Belini or coffee and a must have slice of Key-Lime pie,…while it wasn’t the best Key-Lime pie I’ve ever had, it was one of the freshest wedges I’ve ever had a bite of period. Thick, rich cream cheese-like custard filling topped with natural unsweetened whipped cream. A perfect finish to an entrée with lotsa heat and spicy flavours. CC’s modern classic atmosphere should appeal to all from teens to boomers with just enough décor to keep it interestingly balanced by ambient noise allowing an intimate social visit over good food… a genuine fun night out with west coast fusion fare and a warm inviting restaurant to host, you should go… not cheap, but better value, consistency and a more appealing menu than it’s competitors across the street. Way cooler too!

It was a Monday night and I wanted to have some fun on the town, so i decided to stop at Cactus to see what the buzz was all about. It was pretty cool seeing these girls open this massive door for me, thought I was King of the castle, king of the castle! Walked in and thought it was nice because it was dark and nicki minaj was singing superbass, it rocked yo. I sat down in their massive booth, it was comfy like my HinoTruck I also own a Tonka Truck, shout out to SW&SB! I saw the menu, I got confused, so much to choose from, no pictures, what to do? So I decided to drink first and I drank a lot because it s really nice big pictures and little words for my little mind. My favorite drink is the Belinni its looks cool. It was great nite.

I don’t know if its because this location is the closest to me, but I always end up going to this Cactus over other locations and I love it. There’s something so familiar and comfy about this Cactus Club. The Cajun Chicken Sandwich with mashed potatoes is to die for! Granted today’s wasn’t all that great as the meat was very dry, but the server promptly offered me a replacement and all was solved. The new renovations to the place have really made it look a lot better as well. Go here, its good!
