We order from revanas all the time. Always great. My boyfriend swears by their poutine!

This is my go to place for pizza because it’s really close to where I live. It’s basic pizza but it’s tasty. Decent sauce, decent toppings, otherwise there’s nothing special about it… just very old school. The poutine is also tasty, especially with extra curd.(yes they use real cheese curd). It’s open late nights when everything else is closed. I’d give it 4 stars but the location is just so dirty looking. Ask them for a fresh dough ball EVERYTIME. Trust me.

Called about my order which got messed up as usual and had some punk try and start arguing with me ! Hate there fly by night staff. Food is the same as anywhere else. so why put up with the attitude!

I came across this place one night while looking for somewhere to grab something quick to eat while waiting to play a show. I came in, placed an order for a 6 inch turkey sub. I waited in a chair at the restaurant for around 10 – 15 minutes. Eventually I walked up to the counter to see if maybe my sub was ready because I had waited quite a while for a simple order. The lady then told me she didn’t have any turkey, and had been looking for me to tell me so. even though I had been sitting there the whole time while she was busy playing with a customer’s baby. After I said I would settle for a smoked meat sub, she played with the baby some more, didn’t wash her hands, then finally made the sub. Once I got my order, the bun was a soggy, no-name brand disaster. The meat and toppings were alright, but it couldn’t save the sub. I will likely not be going in again. Perhaps it was just an off night.

Huge fan. I’m temporarily working at the Nova Scotia Hospital, and after a rude encounter with Downtown Pizza(which I’ll review) I turned to Revana next and was sooo happy I did. The delivery driver was a lovely friendly man and the pizza came at a more than reasonable time. The pizza sauce was AMAZING. It was thick and tomatoey and it was amazing how much it added for flavor! The ingredients were fresh and they did not skimp on toppings. The crust was a perfect thickness/crispiness/with a hint of sweetness to it. Simply amazing. Recommend to all.

Revana has become my pizza delivery place of choice. When I need a pizza and garlic finger fix, I call Revana. It’s not fancy, it’s just good. The crusts are generous but not suffocatingly so(like KOD) and the ingredients a plentiful. They put just enough sauce but it is not overwhelming like some other pizza joints. We always order enough so we’ll have leftovers and you sure can’t argue with $ 23 – 28 for 2 or 3 meals!

Oh how I miss REVANA !!! I now live out in Vancouver since 2008 and dream of the days that I could get something to eat from this dinghy little pizza joint. They make the best pizza crust and sauce EVER and don’t get me started on their garlic fingers!!! I am starting to drool!!! I lived right around the corner from Revana. Spent 5 years there. One thing was… they wouild make me a special order. Super staff!!! A Toasted Greek Sub with donair sauce as a dip!!! I know it may sound… eeewwww… but omgawd, seriously? TRYIT!!! Of any food joints that I miss since I left Halifax/Dartmouth is Ravana!!! Here in Vancouver, they do NOT have the sweet donair sauce that is common on donairs & pizza in the Maritimes. Here, it’s a taziki sauce for donairs…*gag*… Sooooooo I finally found the recipe for«Halifax Sweet Sauce» and now make my own along with a «RAVANAGREEKSUB» … The whole time during this great feast I quietly thank Ravana for putting that taste into my mouth!!! How I miss you guys!!! lol. …ps…Hey Ravana… I’d like to place an order for delivery please… lol.

If you are a sauce lover, this is your place. The sauce is seriously fantastic! If you’re a crust person, I would skip. While it has a decent texture, there is no flavor to it. A touch of garlic to add a slight aromatic to the dough or a pinch of salt to add interest would give this pizza shop at least 4 stars from me, but as it is the pizza dough actually seems to water down the delicious sauce. A shame. The atmosphere here is… interesting. Located in a row building, the shop communicates with its neighbor — a dark, dingy bar that looked like it is up to no good. I was a little nervous whenever the door between the two(located inside the pizza shop) swung open and I caught a glimpse of the goings on in there– even moreso when one of the customers came inside, quite drunk, and struck up a conversation with me. If you are going to order from here, choose delivery or take out.

This is one of those Lebanese family-owned business. The pizza and the garlic fingers are both excellent and the prices are about average. The staff is not very friendly and the clientèle is quite sketchy. Sometimes drug dealers hang around in front of the shop or across the street and bikers from a nearby chapter are also frequently seen there. The place is also not very clean and the owner of the pizza shop also owns the bar beside it(whiskeys) which is infested with drunkards and troublemakers. You won’t see this if you are ordering food from them, but hygiene should also be a concern. I’m afraid of eating there due to sanitary concerns but I must admit that the food is indeed good.

Of all the mom-and-pop pizza shops that we’re oh-so lucky to have in Halifax, Revana’s is a long-standing favourite. The shop itself is about as no-frills as you can get, but the pizza itself is tough to beat! Sure — it’s not gourmet, it’s not wood-fired, and I doubt you’re going to find organic baby arugula on the toppings list, but when you need a good olé peperoni and cheese to go with an at-home beer, Revana’s will hook you up with one of the best crusts out there. A perfected blend of crispy and doughy, the toppings will have to step up in order to keep your attention away from just gnawing on the ‘handle’ of your slice. Delivery is pretty quick but very reliable and eating in will never go without seeing some of the most interesting characters that downtown Dartmouth has to offer. Feel free to take that as a positive or negative…’cause depending on the day, it can definitely be both.

I am telling you, order Revana pizza if you are lucky enough to live in their delivery area. Even if you aren’t, go there anyway. It’s THAT good. First off, their sauce is by far the most delicious ever. And the crust! Crispy and bready and fantastic. This is not eat with a knife and fork fancy-pants pizza, this is classic cheesy greasy awesome goodness. I have not personally had the donair pizza(not my style) but Boyfriend’s football friends assure me it’s the best in the city. Also not my scene, but the tacos apparently are also awesome. More my style: the greek pizza with feta and onions and olives… MMMMMMM. So good. And the spicy home fries? Ask them to make that into poutine after you’ve had five beer at the Corner, and I’m telling you, you will be in heaven. Spicy poutine heaven. I also love love love the staff. Super nice, and if you order garlic bread instead of garlic fingers(a very crucial distinction on football Sundays), they will bring you garlic fingers without complaint. Bless. Revana’s, it’ll always be the place where I found out MJ died, and then ate pizza with the old woman who works there and watched the news. Memories :)
