I brought in 2 dresses and a maxi skirt to be hemmed and paid about $ 86 after tax for all 3. I included my number and email and was given a tag number for pickup in week. When I went to pick up my items, the skirt was not hemmed. A note was attached stating I’d need to try it on again but it was 7pm and the seamstress had left so I’d need to come back another time to try it on for her. I was slightly annoyed as they could’ve called to ask me to come in before the seamstress left, saving me an extra trip. But fine, it is what it is and I opted to take the skirt home with me then bring it back later. I asked the cashier how they’d identify the item since my tag would show I picked up all 3. She assured me they’d just know and said not to worry. The next afternoon I dropped off my skirt without issue. Again, since my tag already showed it was picked up, an informal note was pinned to the skirt with my name and number. The seamstress couldn’t give me a date for pickup but said she’d call. Five days later, no call and I ended up calling them to inquire. There was some confusion as the cashier said all my items were picked up, which is exactly what I feared would happen. After some searching though, she found it and I picked it up the same evening. In terms of the actual hemming, two of the items were great. One was not hemmed short enough. I know they have a 30 day policy but I’m not interested in bringing back more items. I know mistakes happen. I know mixups are common and I did receive an apology. If I received a haircut I didn’t like though, I wouldn’t be back and I won’t be using Stitch It again.
